Huawei need a good software system for global return
Huawei is making new efforts in order to get back in the global market but the company needs to understand that people not only want good hardware but also robust after-sale software updates system.
For example, Huawei P60 Pro and Mate X3 are the latest devices. These come with EMUI 13.1, which is amazing software with smoother animations and better interactions. However, the after-sales service record of the tech maker has declined severely over the past two years.
We know that Huawei is not officially dealing with Android since 2019 and its phones no longer support Google Mobile Services (GMS). Currently, Huawei operating with both GMS phones, which were released before 2019. And non-GMS phones post-2019. Both of these genres receive Android-based EMUI software updates.
After-sale software support:
Since EMUI 10, Huawei has rapidly improved the features and UI of the EMUI ecosystem. However, after the release of HarmonyOS 2, Huawei completely changed the narrative for the software rollout.
Putting Chinese phones in priority and it’s doing great among users. Phones with HarmonyOS operating system get the best treatment among any other smartphone company in China. The release comes on time and with the latest features, software optimizations, and improvements.
But the current EMUI train is sort of derailed from this theory. Therefore, slow and delayed rollouts are the main barrier for overseas users.
Improvements:
Selling a phone with brand-new features is a big deal and Huawei is doing that part quite well. However, sending timely software updates with fast execution is another major aspect of after-sales services.
Nowadays, consumers pay attention to software support as much as the hardware or camera. Therefore, a boost in Huawei’s software update policy, schedule, and fast execution is required.
Aside from these, Huawei needs to revive its social media handle EMUI or Huawei to provide software update-related announcements. This will help a lot of customers to know what’s coming their way instead of remaining unknown.
To conclude, a fast software update system will help Huawei to provide a better user experience for customers.
