What is this game about?

The story keeps things simple and to the point. As you embark on this journey, you'll find yourself in a little kingdom facing great challenges. Speaking of immersion, the Royal Envoy series is a masterclass. It merges strategy with adventure, creating an enticing cocktail perfect for both the casual gamer and the seasoned pro. Each level presents its own challenges. Whether it's resource management, city building, or guiding your builders to various tasks, there's always something to keep you engaged. And if you're a fan of tower defense pc games, you'll find elements that'll pique your interest.

But hey, if you're new to this and the idea of juggling multiple tasks feels daunting, breathe easy. The game has an intuitive tutorial spread across stages. Each activity is introduced step-by-step, ensuring you're well-acquainted before moving on to the next challenge. And if you're here for the story, wanting a laid-back experience without the hustle of base management, there's a "Relaxed" mode. Switch it on, and the game takes care of your base, allowing you to focus on the narrative and puzzles.

If you’ve played time management games before, there’s plenty of challenges to be found. First off, there are harder difficulties, which just makes the whole game more challenging. But as you play, there are achievements to earn if you search every nook and cranny for secret treasures and letters. There are even levels to gain and other secrets to uncover, so if you are a completionist this game can last you quite a while.

You should know that, even with all these strategy game features akin to strategy games, there are no real opposing factions. You don’t build units to fight other soldiers, you just build and maintain a base. In that sense this is more of a puzzle game, where you have to figure out what to build and when to build it, so you can have the resources to advance to the next stage similar to puzzle-based logic found in many Windows 7 games.

That’s not to say that there aren’t any dangers; creatures can climb out of holes to attack your base, and you have to quickly click on them to fend them off. Your units can also be harmed, specifically by traps, and you need a special building to heal him up. So there are dangers, just more on the puzzle- solving kind.

Being a sequel, this game comes with some improvements over its predecessors. Firstly, of course, is the updated graphics. They might still be two dimensional but they look prettier than before.

But more important than that are gameplay features to ease and improve play, like the ability to destroy buildings that no longer have a use (for example a wood cutting building where all the trees have already been taken down).

Enjoy the game absolutely free!

Royal Envoy 2 is not only an improvement on the previous installments, it is also a great game in its own right. Whether you are looking for a relaxed puzzler or a fast paced strategy game, this game can fit either role with ease.
