Huawei Watch GT 5 appears on Indonesian certification
Huawei Watch GT 5 wearable has now been spotted on the Indonesian Telecom certification. The latest news confirms that the smartwatch will soon make its way to the Indonesian market, following its debut in the Chinese consumer platform.
Inputs show that the Huawei Watch GT 5 appeared on the Indonesian SDPPI certification with a VLI-B19 model number. The digit is similar to the one found in the 3C listing. Perhaps the VLI-B29 model could be a new size variant.
The Chinese phone maker launched the Watch GT 4 series with two sizes 41mm and 46mm. Now the latest parameters hint that we may find a similar version with the upcoming GT wearable lineup. Though Huawei is yet to confirm this news.
Apart from the SDPPI certificate, the Watch GT 5 has also qualified for the TUV certification. The details highlight that the wearable will likely have an IP68 rating.
IP68 refers to better water and dust resistance capabilities. With such a rating, the device can remain at a maximum depth of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. It stays away from dust without any additional cover or casing on the screen panel.
New certification hints that the Huawei Watch GT 5 may soon launch in both Chinese and global markets. It will probably pre-install the powerful HarmonyOS version to deliver significant performance and impressive features to the table.
The previous 3C listing noted that the Watch GT 5 will likely use a wireless charging base. It will further support an 18W power adapter for efficient charging.
Huawei is also in rumors to unveil a Watch GT 5 Pro model in the time ahead. Since the OEM has eliminated the respective version for the predecessor series, it is unclear if the Pro model will show up with the next GT watch line.
