Design

Both models have an interwoven pattern on the back and come in four colors: Loden Green, Feather Sand Purple, Feather Sand White, and Starry Black.

Loden Green is the main color of the Nova 13 series. Huawei has used a new spatial grid glass for the back panel, crafted with micro-nano-level 3D lithography tech and micro-crystal feather yarn technology. It also has skin-friendly, stain-resistant, and scratch-resistant properties.

Huawei Nova 13 series supports the Beidou satellite “image-sending” SMS feature. Users can send and receive picture messages in a low-network area or without a cellular signal.

AI is another interesting segment of this smartphone series. The device supports some new AI image editing features. These are:

The Nova 13 series has a trendy design. The standard model is similar to its predecessor. But the Pro version hypes an interweaving outlook at the back panel.

Looking into the pictures, Huawei has introduced two new color variants for the Nova 13 series: Green and Purple. It continued the classic black and white shade with a touch of fashion and minimalistic design. The company wrote in the description:

Huawei has chosen the plaid design for its Nova models this time. Unlike the previous-gen devices, the new look is quite different and catchy to the eyes.

The device has obtained 997 points in the single-core test and 2900 points in the multi-core test. Huawei has listed the 12GB RAM variant on the performance platform. Judging from the chipset’s CPU architecture, it appears to be Kirin 8000.

Kirin 8000 has a “4+3+1” octa-core framework. It contains four 1.84GHz small, three 2.19GHz medium cores, and one large core with a frequency of 2.40GHz. It will likely be paired with the company’s self-developed Maleoon 910 GPU.

Earlier, many netizens predicted that the Huawei Nova 13 series would come with HarmonyOS 4.4 software system. Although the current listing and tipster’s words reveal that the new high-end lineup will run on the HarmonyOS 4.2 version.

UncleKanshan notes that the Huawei Nova 13 series launch may affect its predecessors to some extent. The Nova 12 Ultra and Lite models could continue to sell in online and offline stores. However, that won’t be the case with the Pro variants.

The tipster says that Huawei will likely remove the Nova 12 Pro from offline shelves and make it available only in online stores. It won’t be discontinued completely but will be present partially in the Chinese smartphone market.
