Application:

  • Remove the original pre-installed Link Now app, if you have ever updated the app, it will not remove

Security:

  • Improve system security protection capabilities

Here are some important notes.

Please make sure that the tablet does not have ROOT.

You can upgrade to version 2.0.0.262 online after receiving the push. The version is rolling out in batches. This version upgrade will not delete user data but it is still recommended that you delete all Back up important data from the PC or cloud (please do not back up to the internal storage space of the tablet).

After the upgrade, the system performs self-optimization and adaptation, which may cause the phone to sometimes experience heat generation, fast power consumption, freeze, or slow charging. The device will return to normal after 2-3 days of normal use. It is recommended to charge the phone with the screen off for more than 2 hours after the upgrade is complete (it is best to charge it overnight with the screen off) and then restart the tablet to ensure that the phone apps are quickly adapted. After the update is complete, the system will restart, please wait patiently for about five minutes.

Huawei Mate 9 series is one of the oldest phones to run the HarmonyOS operating system and the company is now preparing one of these smartphones with new HarmonyOS 2 features.

Huawei recently started early adopter beta recruitment for Huawei Mate 9 lineup to test new HarmonyOS 2 features. Despite the fact that Huawei Mate 9 devices won’t get HarmonyOS 3 upgrade, it’s good to know that Huawei is cooking some new functionalities to improve the current user experience.

As for now, Huawei has not revealed the details of these new features but we can expect them to be optimizations and slight changes over the existing functions.

For your information, Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro will sign up for this recruitment and get a chance to test all of the new HarmonyOS features ahead of the official release. During the beta duration, Huawei will send multiple beta builds under staged expansion.

However, it may take some time for users to get the update via OTA due to limited slots.

Specifically, there are three models:

  1. Huawei Mate 9 – MHA-AL00
  2. Huawei Mate 9 – MHA-TL00
  3. Huawei Mate 9 Pro – LON-AL00

HarmonyOS 2 new features Huawei Mate 9

These two phone users are required to first upgrade with HarmonyOS 2.0.0.150 in order to file a signup application.  Also, Huawei is giving away rewards for the early beta testers and motivating them to submit helpful feedback.

You should know that Huawei is recruiting only 2000 testers for this HarmonyOS new features campaign. Therefore, Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro will grab 1000 for each version.

HarmonyOS 2:

Huawei Mate 9 devices first installed HarmonyOS 2 with a brand new control panel, notifications panel, smooth animations, fast task execution, better security, and much more. These additions weren’t available in EMUI.

There’s more that these users can do to get the best early adopter user experience. For instance, maintain 8GB or more internal storage. Assure that your device is not rooted and you are advised to make a backup of the important files to prevent unwanted loss.

Huawei Mate 9 is an old flagship device of the company with a high-end feature and was launched in 2016. But recently various Chinese users posted that they are facing some internet speed detection issues in Huawei Mate 9 smartphone.

According to the latest information by users, the Huawei Mate 9 smartphone has some bugs related to internet speed detection what exactly happens is, when using the Mate 9 to detect the Smart Life’s internet speed, the actual speed is inconsistent in displaying the speed indicator.

The Smart Life detects that the network speed from the mobile phone to the router is 300mbps, which is almost the same as the theoretical rate of 433 Mbps for the Mate 9 mobile phone.

Huawei Mate 6 internet detection bug

However, the real-time network speed display rate of the mobile taskbar is 106MB, which is clearly a bug and cannot reach the theoretical rate of the Mate 9 mobile phone. The router next to it is the Ax3 Pro.

Where some users commented that such an issue is normal according to them, the unit of your speed measurement interface and the unit displayed on the top of the phone are actually incompatible. The typical conversion is 1M/s = 8Mbps.

Furthermore, the users also described that this caused the display on the top of the phone to speed up too much so it looks like the problem still exists. But one more thing to note is that the speed displayed is actually the sum of upload and download, so reaching this level of 100M/s per second is not impossible.

Ax3 Pro:

The WiFi AX3 is powered by a quad-core GigaHome processor clocked at 1.4GHz, which is better than the dual-core processors used in WiFi routers at the same cost with the Gigahome processor, the WiFi AX3 can deliver theoretical speeds of up to 3000 Mbps.
