Huawei Watch Buds wearable is getting HarmonyOS 4.2 features

Huawei has started rolling out the HarmonyOS 4.2 software update for the Watch Buds wearable users. With this release, the company is rolling out some interesting features and useful optimizations that will enhance the overall user experience.

The new HarmonyOS 4.2 update for the Huawei Watch Buds is carrying a build version 4.2.0.103. It appears to be an official version as it is reaching all the corresponding device users, regardless of which baseline build their smartwatch is running on.

Baseline Version: 3.0.0.111, 3.0.0.125, 3.0.0.127, 3.0.0.137, and 4.0.0.111

In terms of additions, the company has integrated new sets of watch faces including the three-ring design and various other patterns. You can visit the official watch face store on your wearable to download and set them accordingly.

  • Optimize the sleep monitoring experience and make sleep measurement more accurate.
  • Optimizes the heart rate measurement experience. The constant heart rate measurement feature supports the display of historical measurement time.

The update is approaching Watch Buds users in a gradual rollout. But you can try to update the device manually using the Huawei Health app. Make sure that your device has a 50% battery at the time of installation.
