Samsung phone users have locked their eyes on the One UI 7.0 arrival and in the meantime, the leaks are constantly implying better changes with the new upgrade. One effective enhancement in One UI 7.0 could be an all-new camera interface.

The South Korean tech giant is not only focusing on making its UI segment incredible but also easier to navigate. Despite an attractive interface, users often get stuck with the usage and navigation part of the One UI software updates.

But it seems the company is fixing this problem with the One UI 7.0. This could also be a reason why Samsung is taking time to release its new One UI beta update for developers and users. So without any delays, let’s take a look at new changes.

One UI 7.0 Camera Interface

The company is ready to give a bold revamp to the camera segment with the One UI 7.0 upgrade. The recent One UI 7.0 early build leaks suggest that the tech maker will adopt a more simple and easy-to-use camera interface with the new OS.

Looking into the details, shooting models like Photos, Videos, Portraits, and other labels now appear at the bottom of the screen. It is the perfect spot to switch between camera modes and other shooting tools without spending much time.

One UI 7 camera interface

One UI 7.0 to bring simpler and easier camera interface

Camera controls are now far better than the previous builds. One UI 7.0 has a new single tab as the replacement for Night Shot mode. The exact function of this button at the bottom of the camera interface is unclear. Though we may get details soon.

Other controls like Settings, Flash, Timer, Aspect Ratio, and Motion Photo can be found in the lower middle of the screen. These simple but significant changes will offer a clutter-free camera interface to users.

These changes even seem effective for those who prefer using the device in the one-handed mode. Such users can also opt for certain options from the top right corner of the camera layout. These changes could differ in the stable version. Hence, let’s wait more on this segment till the official rollout.

Huawei is ready to launch HarmonyOS NEXT operating system for smartphones and its cloud storage won’t be an issue for users upgrading from the existing HarmonyOS version.

Tipster FixedFocus has revealed that the company’s native operating system will bring extended cloud storage for those upgrading from HarmonyOS 4.2.

The tipster confirmed that the storage will help people store data from one device as a backup and restore if the device loses the data after the upgrade process is completed.

Furthermore, this storage could be temporary but there’s no certain information on whether it will be free or come under a special offer.

This bells some rings and reminds us of a free storage service launched in July 2023. Under this model, Huawei smartphone users were allowed to store their data in cloud storage and format the device.

(Source – FixedFoxu/Weibo)

The service was free of charge but the data could only be stored temporarily such as for 24 hours. Within that time, the user was reminded to restore the data or buy more storage to keep it on the cloud.

HarmonyOS NEXT is a native operating system designed to provide a new user experience and improved performance compared to the existing HarmonyOS. The version also supports only native mobile apps.

Since it’s a whole new upgrade, the company may want to ramp up its upgrades at the beginning. Therefore, offering free temporary cloud storage will speed up the upgrades from older devices without worrying about the cloud storage price or data.

Huawei will open HarmonyOS NEXT public beta on October 8. This will enable users of selected models to test the latest features with unlimited testing slots.

The first batch of devices includes Huawei Mate X5 foldable, Mate 60 Series, and MatePad Pro’s latest tablet. Over the past two years, Huawei has collaborated with the Chinese software industry to develop thousands of native HarmonyOS applications.

Huawei is seemingly ready to ditch Windows for its next-gen PCs in favor of the HarmonyOS software system. One of the company’s executives has confirmed that current laptops could be the last batch running on an external operating system.

Yu Chengdong, the Huawei Consumer Business Chairman attended a live broadcast on September 20. During the interview, he said the next-generation Huawei PCs will launch with pre-installed HarmonyOS software instead of Windows.

The Chairman says Huawei has to drop Windows support following the U.S. ban. The company was blacklisted in the U.S. in 2019 and since then, it has continued to suffer for advanced techs, chipmaking tools, and even enhanced software.

Now the company aims to become self-dependent by introducing a new OS free of foreign components. This is why the current Matebook products could be the last batch running on Windows and Huawei may soon introduce HarmonyOS PC.

Yu mentions that Huawei began reducing its dependency on foreign parts long ago. Thus, the upcoming hardware and software products will be more efficient.

The executive adds that the company has used several American elements so far. But after the sanctions, the company greatly reduced the usage, and now processing to completely replace them. The results will be visible in the future.

During the interrogation, a few netizens said that Western x86 (Windows version) has always been unreliable. Although they hope that HarmonyOS PC could be efficient in coding and editing. “Mr. Yu should bring the new HarmonyOS PC to the market soon.”

HarmonyOS has been used as a significant OS for various devices. But the company never installed it on its PCs due to its access to Windows. Yet, in the past few years, the company readied a backup plan for its notebooks to battle against growing sanctions.

Whether Huawei will launch HarmonyOS PC for only the home ground or bring it to global consumers (just like tablets and watches) is still unclear. Things might get clear with the official launch of HarmonyOS PC in the time ahead.

Huawei is preparing several products for the upcoming months including both hardware and software. A new leak on this topic says that Huawei might introduce the HarmonyOS 4.4 software system with a new giant smart TV later this month.

UncleKanshan reveals the details of Smart TV V5 Max 110-inch. The device is expected to launch this month with a giant screen and interesting smart capabilities.

Adding more, the tipster says Huawei Smart TV V5 Max 110-inch may also be the first to pre-install HarmonyOS 4.4 OS. The new software features are a secret for now. But if true, users could find better enhancements than the previous version.

It is unclear how accurate the current leak is. Huawei has already confirmed to launch the official HarmonyOS NEXT by the end of this month. On the other hand, it hasn’t mentioned a new HarmonyOS 4.4 version for its devices so far.

Also, one would expect HarmonyOS 4.3 after the 4.2 build, and not the 4.4. Many netizens asked whether this upgrade would be available to other devices. However, the tipster hasn’t responded with any further details regarding the new software.

HarmonyOS 4.4 hints that Huawei could either introduce a separate OS for its smart TVs or may bring a small improvements update before the official release of the HarmonyOS NEXT. But it’s better to take this leak with a grain of salt for now.

Smart TV V5 Max 110-inch

The tipster reveals that the upcoming giant smart TV will bear a SuperMini LED screen with cutting-edge technology. It claims to offer 5000 nits peak brightness. It means users will get improved image quality with more appealing and vibrant visuals. It may also bring anti-reflection properties for an efficient experience.

Other parameters include 5040 dynamic partitions with a 91% of BT2020 color gamut. This gamut includes a wide color gamut for ultra-high-definition TV. It covers a larger area compared to other gamuts and ensures that color appears more accurately.

V5 Max 110-inch would be the biggest Huawei smart TV. Meanwhile, its key specs seem quite amazing. Although an official confirmation awaits for this device.

HarmonyOS NEXT beta for Huawei devices is on the way and it seems the upcoming software may introduce a series of new AI features. Here is an interesting tidbit that sheds light on how this major upgrade could make your phone a real AI-driven device!

According to Weibo tipster @BeijingDigitalMaster, HarmonyOS NEXT will bring several AI features to Huawei devices. The OEM has imposed artificial intelligence to the base of its new software system, making it smarter and capable of every task.

Even though the exact feature details are currently unclear, it is said to ease your daily operations on your Huawei device. For instance, your phone or tablet will perform certain tasks automatically without asking for any inputs or multiple steps.

It could also manage most of the functions and tools of apps, making them convenient to use anytime. Things related to this topic would likely get more clear with the HarmonyOS NEXT beta release at the HDC 2024 event on June 21.

The tipster further states that Huawei might not be standing in the first place when it comes to AI, yet the company is not behind. The hint seems toward Android and iOS that are bringing some powerful AI capabilities with their new versions.

HarmonyOS NEXT features and major capabilities are under the hood. But we may see them with the Mate 70 series later this year. Till then, let’s hold our patience.

The Chinese tech giant is expanding HarmonyOS app ecosystem. It has welcomed many new partners and helped them develop the HarmonyOS native app version. Hence users will experience a smarter as well as safer app experience on devices.

HarmonyOS overtakes iOS!

A report has shown that HarmonyOS left iOS behind in China for the first quarter of this year. Major reasons for this win are 5G adoption and consumer support for native products. Perhaps, HarmonyOS NEXT will bring more achievements for the company in future.

A new input says that Huawei could unveil a tablet pre-installed with HarmonyOS NEXT in the second half of this year. The firm is working on several MatePad products for the time being, with better upgrades over the previous-gen models.

Tipster @BeijingDigitalMaster has said that Huawei is preparing a new HarmonyOS NEXT tablet for later this year. Apart from the flagship Mate lineup, consumers may also get the chance to experience the new software system on large-screen devices.

The blogger states that the tablet’s availability news is 100% accurate and we may soon hear the official announcement on this matter. Although the Chinese tech maker has not confirmed the leak yet. Hence we have to wait for some more details.

With the latest software system, we can also expect a new Kirin chip for the device. Recently launched tablets carrying Kirin 9000 derivatives hint that the Chinese tech giant has more overclocked core processors for its upcoming devices.

Huawei has various tablets in the pipeline including a new MatePad SE. The device has appeared on certification sites like Bluetooth and CMIIT, confirming its existence.

Even though these listings didn’t reveal much about the new model, it says that the approaching tablet will use a Snapdragon chip, just like its predecessors.

HarmonyOS NEXT for tablets:

An early input stated that HarmonyOS NEXT for tablets will bring a more simplistic and easy-to-navigate interface. Weibo tipster @FixedFocus tested the developer preview build on MatePad Pro 13.2 and found user-friendly functionalities.

The software exhibits a clear app bar at the bottom with medium-sized icons, letting you switch between these applications in seconds without lags or buffers.

Opening a particular application, say a Music app, will show clearer fonts and tabs so you can easily access the controls and other features. Things could improve more with the stable build in the time ahead.

A tipster today said that the HarmonyOS NEXT has the same level of fluency as the current software version. The company is constantly working on the upcoming OS and will enhance the smoothness aspects to a significant extent in the time ahead.

Weibo tech-savvy @DigitalChatStation says that a variety of commonly used apps are actively stepping towards the HarmonyOS NEXT. The company is also cooperating with several new partners and encouraging them to join its app ecosystem.

Being at the initial stage, these apps don’t carry all the latest features or any major capabilities of the HarmonyOS NEXT software. Yet they will soon support them.

The tipster also cites that the fluency of the new HarmonyOS NEXT is quite equivalent to the current software version. Perhaps we may find smoother and more flexible upgrades with the beta build of the respective upgrade in the coming days.

Note that the tipster has revealed the current stage of the HarmonyOS NEXT development. The software has a long way to reach the official version and till then, the company will surely boost the productivity of its real operating system.

Stable HarmonyOS NEXT – When?

Some other inputs reveal that HarmonyOS NEXT will arrive pre-install in the Mate 70 series. Meanwhile, Huawei’s Rotating Chairman – Xu Zhijun said during an event that the software will release later this year alongside the Mate 70 flagship.

Although an official timeline for both these products is missing from the frame at this moment. Yet a speculation is to find these dynamic offerings in mid-October 2024.

During the HarmonyOS Eco Spring event, Huawei confirmed that it will launch the HarmonyOS NEXT beta in June this year at the HDC 2024 conference. Perhaps consumers need not wait much to experience a new phase in their devices.

Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO Yu Chengdong mentioned that the company will conduct the most-awaited Huawei Developers Conference (HDC) in June 2024.

He added that at the same stage, the firm will announce the HarmonyOS NEXT beta recruitment program with a wide range of advanced features and capabilities alongside the overall upgrade plan for devices and other relevant details.

Thus the wait for testing HarmonyOS NEXT beta version on phones and tablets will end in June this year. Huawei even shared a post on Weibo announcing the news:

“HarmonyOS native application development continues to accelerate! #HarmonyOSNEXT #HongmengGalaxy Edition will open beta at the Huawei Developer Conference #HDC2024 in June 2024. You are invited to attend this global developer event.”

Huawei opened the developer preview program in January this year for three high-end devices – Huawei Mate 60, Mate 60 Pro, and Mate X5. As the term reflects, this activity remain confined only to developers so they can adapt the new OS for their apps.

The company cited that it will initiate the HarmonyOS NEXT closed beta by the second quarter of this year, while an official release might show up in Q4 2024.

Good news is that many app developers have adapted to the beta version of HarmonyOS NEXT, while a few have even reached the official build. Overall, the HarmonyOS NEXT is in full swing and we just have to wait for official data on this matter.
