Huawei Nova 13 Pro visited Geekbench before the launch, highlighting its performance with an unexpected Kirin chip. A reliable source revealed that the new Pro smartphone equips the Kirin 8000 processor, the same as its predecessor.

DigitalChatStation noted that the Huawei Nova 13 Pro has appeared on the Geekbench platform. It has the model number MIS-AL00 and showed notable scores.

The device has obtained 997 points in the single-core test and 2900 points in the multi-core test. Huawei has listed the 12GB RAM variant on the performance platform. Judging from the chipset’s CPU architecture, it appears to be Kirin 8000.

Kirin 8000 has a “4+3+1” octa-core framework. It contains four 1.84GHz small, three 2.19GHz medium cores, and one large core with a frequency of 2.40GHz. It will likely be paired with the company’s self-developed Maleoon 910 GPU.

Earlier, many netizens predicted that the Huawei Nova 13 series would come with HarmonyOS 4.4 software system. Although the current listing and tipster’s words reveal that the new high-end lineup will run on the HarmonyOS 4.2 version.

Huawei Nova 13 Pro Geekbench

The listing does not reveal any other information about the device apart from the chip details and model number. Huawei will reveal the accurate parameters of Nova 13 and 13 Pro on October 22. Till then, you can book the phone at VMall.

Weibo tipster further shared some key specifications of the Nova 13 Pro. We are already familiar with these details but let’s have a quick recall again.

Expected Specifications

The device could feature a 1.5K equal-depth quad-curved display panel for a sleek design and improved image clarity. It may bring a pill-shape cutout with a dual-cam setup, just like the Huawei Nova 12 Pro. One of these lenses could be 60MP.

The rear side will bear a 50MP RYYB main camera. Nova 13 Pro will also support two-way satellite SMS capability to help out users when stuck in a “no-network” area.

Most of these features appear similar to the Nova 12 Pro. It would be worth seeing what major changes the device will bring over its predecessors apart from the design segment.

Huawei has interestingly hinted at the starting price of the Nova 13 series. As per the revelations, the new smartphones could cost below 3000 yuan. It seems there won’t be much difference between the latest and previous-gen devices in cost.

The Chinese tech giant has shared a new poster on the Huawei Mall for the Nova 13 series. The image highlights the standard and Pro models with a price question:

“Price: ¥2??9/¥3??9 | Pre-order to win a gift | Post your order and stand a chance to win starry handbags”

Note that the 2xx9 yuan price is for standard whereas the 3xx9 yuan is for the Pro variant. It indicates that the Huawei Nova 13 series starting price will be below 3000 yuan. It’s a relief to those who thought the cost may exceed 3000 yuan this time.

Last year, Huawei launched three models in the Nova 12 series: Standard, Pro, and Ultra. A Lite version also accompanied the lineup. These devices start pricing at:

  • Nova 12 Lite (256GB) – 2499 yuan
  • Nova 12 (256GB) – 2999 yuan
  • Nova 12 Pro (256GB) – 3999 yuan
  • Nova 12 Ultra (512GB) – 4699 yuan

Judging from the new posters and price of the Nova 12/12 Pro, it seems the Nova 13 series may bear the same cost tag as its predecessors. To know the exact details, we have to wait till the official unveiling of both smartphones.

Huawei could host a huge launch event on September 24 to unveil its new wearables, speakers, and other smart products in China. The latest input is in line with previous revelations. It seems the company is bringing new gifts for home ground users.

A Chinese media reported that Huawei will likely schedule its new Autumn launch conference on September 24. The news didn’t mention the number of devices coming to this event. Yet it reveals the new product launch conference will held in Shanghai.

The latest news indicates that Huawei won’t take much time to introduce new smartwatches in the native region after their global debut. Note that the company has scheduled a global wearables and tablets launch event on September 19 in Barcelona.

Earlier, a leak suggested that Huawei could launch the Watch GT 5 series and Watch Ultimate 2 in China later this month. Now we have an expected timeline on this topic.

Apart from wearables, users may witness new speakers, a giant smart TV with HarmonyOS 4.4 details, and a few more products. Users expecting a smartphone lineup like the Nova 13 or the Mate 70 series have to wait for some more time.

Some previous inputs said that Nova 13 models may launch in September this year. But it looks like Huawei has further shifted the device to next month (October).

Regarding Mate 70 flagship, Huawei is reportedly taking offline pre-orders for the premium models. Users can verify the news by visiting the nearby Huawei stores.

The latest news also states that Huawei may soon open pre-order channels for Luxeed R7 on September 24. It also says that a large Huawei flagship store is in the making. This store seemingly has a floor area of 2300 square meters and can exhibit 10 cars together. The store will likely be developed in three months.

Hence, a lot of new offerings are coming this month. It is unclear if Huawei will unveil new wearables in China on September 24. The situation will get crystal clear with an official announcement on this matter.

Thickness has become a hot topic among foldable analysts and consumers these days. A thin folding phone not only attracts customers but also hints about its technical strength. Now it’s time to compare the thickness between Huawei Mate XT, Mate X5, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and Honor Magic V3.

So without any further ados, let’s jump into the comparison!

Note that this comparison mentions the thickness of the device in both folded and unfolded states. Also, we’ll place the unfolded thickness first for every device.

Huawei Mate XT

The world’s first triple-foldable phone debuted on September 10. It uses a dual-hinge system for a smooth folding mechanism. The body structure is quite thin and claims to be durable against accidental slips and other external damage.

Mate XT has a thickness of 12.8mm when folded and 3.6-4.8mm when in unfolded state. The overall dimensions are 156.7 x 219.0 x 4.8mm in the unfolded state and 156.7 x 73.5 x 12.8mm in the folded state.

Huawei is preparing several products for the upcoming months including both hardware and software. A new leak on this topic says that Huawei might introduce the HarmonyOS 4.4 software system with a new giant smart TV later this month.

UncleKanshan reveals the details of Smart TV V5 Max 110-inch. The device is expected to launch this month with a giant screen and interesting smart capabilities.

Adding more, the tipster says Huawei Smart TV V5 Max 110-inch may also be the first to pre-install HarmonyOS 4.4 OS. The new software features are a secret for now. But if true, users could find better enhancements than the previous version.

It is unclear how accurate the current leak is. Huawei has already confirmed to launch the official HarmonyOS NEXT by the end of this month. On the other hand, it hasn’t mentioned a new HarmonyOS 4.4 version for its devices so far.

Also, one would expect HarmonyOS 4.3 after the 4.2 build, and not the 4.4. Many netizens asked whether this upgrade would be available to other devices. However, the tipster hasn’t responded with any further details regarding the new software.

HarmonyOS 4.4 hints that Huawei could either introduce a separate OS for its smart TVs or may bring a small improvements update before the official release of the HarmonyOS NEXT. But it’s better to take this leak with a grain of salt for now.

HarmonyOS 4.4 Huawei Smart TV

Smart TV V5 Max 110-inch

The tipster reveals that the upcoming giant smart TV will bear a SuperMini LED screen with cutting-edge technology. It claims to offer 5000 nits peak brightness. It means users will get improved image quality with more appealing and vibrant visuals. It may also bring anti-reflection properties for an efficient experience.

Other parameters include 5040 dynamic partitions with a 91% of BT2020 color gamut. This gamut includes a wide color gamut for ultra-high-definition TV. It covers a larger area compared to other gamuts and ensures that color appears more accurately.

V5 Max 110-inch would be the biggest Huawei smart TV. Meanwhile, its key specs seem quite amazing. Although an official confirmation awaits for this device.

HarmonyOS Intelligent Driving Unit shipped 44090 smart car units in July 2024. The company has announced the automobile sales analysis for the previous month. It also highlights the sales data record for AITO M9, M7, and M5 SUV models.

As per the official poster, most of the HarmonyOS-powered smart car units in the July 2024 sales data (44090) belong to SERES AITO. The company shipped 41535 SUVs last month, increasing the overall HIMA automobile shipment by 238287 units.

Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) says:

“HarmonyOS Smart delivered a total of 238287 vehicles from January to July 2024, ranking first in monthly sales of new energy vehicles priced above 300000 yuan for consecutive years.”

The latest sales performance of Huawei-backed cars has dropped 4.44% compared to the June 2024 data. Yet, the analysis shows that the OEM is constantly moving forward with advanced solutions and high-end capabilities for Chinese smart cars.

Further inputs reveal that AITO M9 delivery reached 18047 units in July 2024. The model ranked first in the 500000 yuan category. AITO M7, on the other hand, delivered 16562 units. The product is in first place for China’s new energy vehicles with better sales performance. AITO M5 also shipped 6926 units with a 242% YoY increase.

Luxeed S7 is the last model in this sales data with a figure of 2555 units. Despite the overall sales being less than in June 2024, Huawei believes it to make new profits in the Automotive Solution Business this year.

While there’s a decline this month, we may find improvements in the August 2024 automobiles report. The company is ready to unveil the STELATO S9 model. It will probably add a new boost to the company’s automobile solution business revenue.

Huawei Watch GT 4 fetches a new software update with the latest system improvements and increased stability aspects. But there is something strange about it. The new firmware update carries a similar version as the previous rollout.

Yes, the new Huawei Watch GT 4 system improvements update is arriving with the HarmonyOS 4.0.0.161 build version. It is the same version as the last update but carries an entirely different changelog. This time, it’s a simple improvement patch.

According to the inputs, the new update carries a downloadable package of 44.42 Megabytes. Instead of new features and optimizations, the tech giant has improved the stability aspects of the wearable and made it more responsive for device owners.

Changelog

  • Optimizations: This update optimizes system stability in certain situations.

Probably, this could be a software mistake and the company may soon fix it, dropping a new firmware for the Watch GT 4 users. Till then, the respective wearable users can install the new firmware for a glitch-free functioning of the device.
