Honor Magic 7 series will debut at the end of this month with an interesting feature: cross-app file sharing. The feature might seem a common addition to the flagship lineup. But it is more than just file sharing and can ease your daily life experience.

Zhao Ming – the CEO of Honor Devices recently attended a live broadcast along with the Chairman of 360 Group Zhou Hongyi. During the interview, the executive showcased the front side of the Magic 7 series and described some of its features.

One of the significant features of the Honor Magic 7 series is the cross-app file sharing. It ensures a seamless sharing of media files and documents between multiple applications on the device. It prevents any interruption during the process.

But what’s so special about this feature?

The new cross-app file-sharing feature can be managed by one-sentence capability. Simply put, the user has to instruct the smartphone about the file-sharing process and it will automatically perform all the steps, just like when done manually.

Zhao shared a video on its Weibo channel describing how the “one sentence cross-app file-sharing” feature works. As soon as the device or the smart assistant gets the command to share media files, it directs the follow for the following steps:

  • Search the file or media content
  • Select it
  • Share the file with the required app

The feature also supports WeChat app operations. Users can command and the feature will select the contact to whom they want to send any image, video, and more.

Honor tied up with China Mobile to develop AI intelligent interoperability. With this technology, the Magic 7 series will support the one-sentence (one command) feature to recharge your phone, check bills, order food items, or share files across apps.

Honor devices to equip Kirin chips in the future is still a big question and CEO Zhao Ming has finally responded on this matter. The executive said that the company doesn’t have any such plans for now and is focusing on other significant matters.

Zhao Ming took part in a recent livestream interview. He talked about many subjects like AI, large models, business sectors, the Magic 7 series, new features, and more.

During the interrogation, several netizens asked the CEO if Honor would use Kirin chips for its devices anytime. In response, Zhao Ming said that he’s pretty much aware that users hope for such an opportunity. They are eagerly waiting to see the Kirin chip powering Honor smartphones with a new performance boost.

Although it’s unlikely to happen in the short term. Honor has good cooperation with Qualcomm and prefers Snapdragon processors for its flagship models.

“The possibility of using Kirin chips in the short term is not very high and I know everyone also hopes for such an opportunity.” – said Zhao Ming.

The 360 Group Chairman – Zhou Hongyi questioned if Honor isn’t considering Kirin chips due to its low production capacity and limited supply. Zhao answered that he had no idea about the production volume or any other matter related to it.

It’s not the first time that Honor denied using Kirin chips for its devices. The company’s CMO Jiang Hairong also refuted such rumors saying it’s complete nonsense.

Honor does have the values and core characteristics of Huawei. Although it believes that it can no longer become Huawei and would like to remain a separate company. Zhao also clarified in previous interviews that Honor can defeat its all rivals even if it begins things from scratch.

The CEO stated that the new-gen Honor Magic 7 series will run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. We can expect dynamic performance boost with the Magic 7 series.

Honor CEO – Zhao Ming has revealed the front design of the Magic 7 smartphone before its launch. The executive also shared some key features of the device. He claims that new additions to the device will ultimately boost the user experience.

Zhao Ming and the Chairman of 360 Group, Zhou Hongyi recently attended a live broadcast event. During the interview, the CEO showcased the Honor Magic 7, mainly its front design. He also operated the device to show its major features.

Front Design

Magic 7 phone shows curvy corners on the front side. It has thinner bezels around the screen and exhibits a clean look. The sides of the handset reflect a slight curve all around. Perhaps, the new phone may continue to feature the quad-curved outlook.

Another segment is the pill-shaped design. Honor Magic 7 will also bring the same pill cutout as its predecessors. The design may adopt a selfie lens and a 3D face recognition system.

Back Design

The executive completely covered the back design with a rugged phone case to hide the camera module. Although two lens openings (in a diagonal arrangement) and an LED Flash are visible through the cover. Another strip opening hints at laser focus.

Since the back design is covered with the case, the accurate details are unknown. But the OEM may reveal the entire design with new teasers in the upcoming days.

Apart from the phone, the CEO also described how its smart voice assistant has become even smarter. It can perform various tasks with just a single statement.

Zhao demonstrated the order takeout feature on the Magic 7 smartphone. He said “Order three cups of American coffee” and the device immediately searched for the item and completed the order within minutes. Notably, one has to submit the order and complete the payment without worrying about any other task.

More such features are on the way and we may witness them with the official unveiling of the Honor Magic 6 series on October 30.

Huawei Mate XT tri-fold has appeared as a huge amazement in the foldable market and an enthusiast tried to unfold more mysteries of this phone via a teardown. The disassembly reveals another aspect where the device beats the Apple iPhone 16.

A Weibo tipster recently performed the Huawei Mate XT teardown. He had described every component as a new surprise. Starting with the back panel, the tipster says the tri-fold is wrapped with pure fiber and leather material all around and not plastic.

The company has used a genuine plain leather material. It not only shields the device from scratches but also provides a comfortable grip. Read more about the material.

Further details reveal that Huawei has densely packed all the parts in the world’s first tri-fold handset. Most of the components are China-made. This implies the company’s aim of being self-reliant and supporting native firms or suppliers in the region.

The teardown shows a very thin motherboard. Other components like the font library, CPU, camera sensors, and more in the device, belong to Chinese suppliers.

Mate XT vs iPhone 16

Looking into the internal design, the tipster said the Huawei Mate XT outperformed the iPhone 16 in manufacturing. All the parts in the tri-fold are beautifully arranged and disassembling every component opens new surprises to the eyes.

“From a product perspective alone, the Mate XT completely beats the Apple iPhone 16 in terms of design and manufacturing process. The two are not products of the same level.”

Mate XT’s teardown also shows that Huawei is constantly improving its craftsmanship with every new flagship device. According to the tipster, the company has added a touch of innovation and creativity to its design capabilities with Mate XT.

It is worth mentioning that chipset details haven’t been confirmed in the teardown. However, as per a previous leak, the device runs on Kirin 9010 5G. The camera sensors are also a secret though we may soon get more details on this matter.

Zhou Hongyi – the Founder of 360 Group believes that Huawei Mate XT has left the iPhone 16 behind in innovation. He recently published a new video on the social media platform, revealing which product will he purchase as the next handset.

Hongyi says that the Huawei Mate XT red variant is extremely beautiful. It can specifically gain consumers’ attention in the market for its rich shade and outlook.

The executive further states Huawei Mate XT beats the iPhone 16 in hardware design and innovation. According to him, the Chinese tech giant has won a big victory by launching the world’s first triple foldable smartphone in the market.

Zhou also said that he doesn’t plan to buy an iPhone 16 but the Mate XT. He sees the new tri-fold phone as thin as a razor blade. The Founder says that the Mate XT is unreasonably thin, charming, and will achieve success far beyond expectations.

“Thanks to Yu Chendong, the red version of the phone is particularly beautiful. I think in terms of hardware innovation, the Huawei phone has surpassed the iPhone 16 and won a big victory. I don’t plan to buy an iPhone 16 because I chose Huawei’s Mate XT.”

Huawei Mate XT has been popular since the day 1 of its making. Reason? The amazing tri-fold concept, the thin body structure, and the extraordinary features.

Mate XT reservation units crossed 3 million ahead of its official unveiling and Apple Glowtime event. Now the figure has reached 4 million. This shows that Chinese consumers are more fond of the tri-fold rather than the next-gen Apple phones.

A report claimed that Huawei tri-fold could impact Apple iPhone sales in China. Despite a new look, the iPhone 16 series failed to impress Chinese consumers due to a lack of AI. The winner between Huawei and Apple depends on the market response to their new products. Let’s see how this matter proceeds in the coming days.

During the HarmonyOS Ecosystem development event, the CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group – Yu Chengdong elaborated on the new software product and said that HarmonyOS NEXT is a real operating system.

Yu described that Huawei has implemented self-developed components and technologies to HarmonyOS NEXT which makes it an independent and real operating system. It can easily work and operate on a variety of devices without interrupting the user experience.

On the other hand, the new HarmonyOS NEXT bears the full-stack AI framework that brings advanced facilities and functions on board. The company has done thorough research on the internal parameters of an OS and brought the latest features to the table.

Eventually, HarmonyOS NEXT is not an Android skin but a true OS. It doesn’t run on a primitive Linux Kernel that’s used to bind the operating system in the U.S. hands. Instead, it has self-developed large models, design systems, programming frameworks, languages, and more.

Here is what Yu Chengdong said:

“A true operating system must have a base and an ecosystem. HarmonyOS NEXT is a real operating system and not an Android skin.”

HarmonyOS NEXT real operating system

At the HarmonyOS Ecosystem Development event, Huawei shared a list of components that have been imposed on the HarmonyOS NEXT. These are:

  • Pangu AI Model
  • MindSpore AI Framework
  • Integrated development with DevEco Studio/ DevEco Testing
  • HarmonyOS Design
  • ArkUI/ArkUI-X programming framework
  • Ark Compiler/Bisheng Compiler/Ark Runtime
  • ArkTS/Cangjie programming language
  • EROFS/HMDFS distributed file system
  • Harmony kernel

In addition, the CEO and Chairman of 360 Security Technology – Zhou Hongyi said that there is no doubt in Yu Chengdong’s words. Perhaps, the new software system will open a new gateway of advanced features and capabilities for everyone.

Accordingly, the 360 Group is one of the largest providers of Internet and security services in China. It offers free internet security and launched several products like 360 Total Security, 360 Mobile Security, 360 Security browsers, and more.

With the rapid development of new technologies and AI products, the 360 Group aims to bring a seamless and productive experience for its users. With this aim, the company signed an agreement with Huawei in August this year and began HarmonyOS native app development.

As of now, Huawei shared the news that the 360 Group is pacing rapidly in the HarmonyOS native app road and has completed the development of beta versions for Browser, Weather, and other applications.

With such initiatives, these Chinese firms will be able to actively support the development of the HarmonyOS ecosystem. On the other hand, users will obtain a convenient, safer, and smoother experience on their handsets, like never before.

Eventually, the founder and chairman of China’s 360 Group – Zhou Hongyi said that the firm will continue to support Huawei under any circumstances and will not stop just on the big taglines.

At China’s 2023 World Internet Summit, the Founder and CEO of 360 Group, Zhou Hongyi said that his company purchased 1,000 AI chips from Huawei even before Baidu. The latest statement from Zhou came after Reuters reported about the deal between Huawei and Baidu for the new AI chip.

Baidu has ordered at least 1,600 Ascend 910B AI chips. As of October, the Chinese tech company has delivered about 60% of the overall orders and the pending units of AI chips will be delivered by the end of this year.

Zhou said that 360 Group is cooperating with Huawei to use the full power of Ascend 910B. He also said that it would be difficult to develop AI in China without Huawei.

In the past month, China’s iFlytek also announced cooperation with Huawei for its AI chip. Both of these companies are working in the field of AI and developing new AI platforms for the industry.

iFlytek also said that the new Huawei Ascend 910B is comparable to Nvidia’s A100 AI chip. The two parties are actively engaging in a new “Star One” project for large language model technologies.

In October this year, the US announced a ban on AI chip export to Chinese companies. However, the US Commerce Department confirmed that his ban applies only to advanced chipsets.

At the center of the discussion, Nvidia is likely to have a massive impact on revenue due to this new export restriction. Meanwhile, the situation has come up as a big opportunity for Huawei to claim a new business.

The revelation of purchasing 1000 AI chips by the 360 Group chief suggests that Chinese AI industry players are keen on getting AI chip products from Huawei.
