The Huawei P30 Lite is not eligible for the EMUI 13 or later versions. In that case, this new update brings new improvements to the phone for a better user experience.

According to Huaweiblog, this new software release for the Huawei P30 Lite New Edition comes with EMUI version 12.0.0.265 and an OTA package size of 168 megabytes.

Users of the phone can download the new update via the system’s settings menu.

Huawei P30 Lite New Edition:

This phone was launched in 2020 after the US ban, Huawei unveiled the device with Google Mobile Services (GMS) but it’s quite similar to its predecessor P30 Lite. Despite sharing the aesthetics, the phone still offered new color options for the consumers.

Huawei P30 Lite NE features a 6.15-inch screen with full-view and waterdrop notch. The screen also offers 2312 x 1080 pixels resolution for high-picture quality.

Huawei P30 Lite NE packs a 3340mAh battery, which could recharge with an 18W wired quick charger. On the rear side, you will see a triple rear camera system including a 48mp f/1.8 aperture wide-angle camera.

The secondary is an 8MP ultra-wide angle cam with f/2.4 aperture and a 2MP dedicated bokeh shot. The front side of this phone offers a 32MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. Huawei P30 Lite Camera has a new handheld super night mode and AI features for a better photography experience.

Before you register your beta interest, make sure your device has 8GB of internal storage to store the beta update package. Your device must not be rooted. Before installation, make sure to backup important files and data in order to ensure a safe upgrade procedure.

With the announcement of HarmonyOS 4, the Huawei P30 series is hyped with the new features. And want the company to provide one more major upgrade. HarmonyOS 4 comes with brand-new animations, system optimizations, and a lot of personalization.

Is there a possibility of releasing HarmonyOS 4 for the P30 series? Currently, Huawei has not shared a statement on this situation but the rollout carefully mentioned all of the eligible models. Therefore, the outcasting could be confirmed without any official statement.

Huawei P30 Pro equips a 6.57-inch display with an OLED panel and curved design. The screen has a water drop notch on the head to house a selfie camera. This device is powered by Kirin 980 chipset, which is using HiSilicon and is printed by TSMC.

On the rear side, there’s an eye-catching quad-camera system. It includes a 40 MP 27 mm f/1.6 wide-angle main sensor, a 20 MP ultra-wide-angle 16 mm f/2.2 and an 8 MP 5x optical periscope zoom lens, and a ToF lens. The phone has a large battery 4200mAh battery, which could recharge with a fast charger.

March 30, 2019:

EMUI 9.1.0.124 update for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro improved the Fingerprint unlock performance. The update also fixed a serious issue with the device’s Always-on display. It enables third-party application notifications when the screen is off, previously it does not show any notification.

Also, fixes an issue that caused audio and video to go out of sync during the playback of Instagram videos recorded in hands-free mode. It fixes an issue where emails with the attachment.

Huawei P30 Series System Patch

Huawei P30 users in the global market will get this upgrade over EMUI 12 version. However, there’s no build version, instead, the company only served it as a small package. Still, the implication could be bigger.

According to the changelog, Huawei has released this patch to improve the phone’s system stability. This type of patch contributes to the performance and smoothes up the operations.

System patch:

The June 2023 EMUI system patch for the Huawei P30 series in the global market is coming in phases. It means, that the update may take some to reach all of the Huawei P30 series users. However, there’s no specific time for each release.

Meanwhile, there is some important information that you should know before downloading this new firmware.

This update won’t delete your data and the phone will restart once the installation is completed. Also, the downloaded package will be deleted once the phone restarts.

EMUI 13:

Make sure your phone does not have ROOT, you can download HarmonyOS 3.0.0.168 online after receiving the latest OTA notification. However, you are required to install the base version in order to upgrade to the latest build.

The latest update won’t erase your personal data but we suggest you backup important files in order to prevent unwanted file deletion. The OTA package will be deleted automatically after installation.

After installation, the phone will restart but it may take a few minutes. Afterwards, the smartphone will conduct a self-optimization, which may cause temporary heat, power consumption, hang and slow charging. However, the phone will return to normal within a few days. To note, it’s not necessary that the phone users will face these issues.
