Huawei should revive EMUI

EMUI is the pursuit for global Huawei smartphone owners but EMUI needs to revive to make an impact on Huawei’s software update policy for smartphone users. The company can make a big difference by using fast and efficient update with promotion via its social media handle.

HarmonyOS and EMUI China:

In China, Huawei had EMUI Weibo account. This account was very popular as Huawei continue to share news and the latest beta programs with its followers. It’s also one of the best to interact with customers and let them know what the company is planning.

With the launch of HarmonyOS for smartphones, Huawei renamed EMUI Weibo to HarmonyOS. This new account has an even bigger following and Huawei shares new update rollouts, beta practices, feature tips, and more.

Twitter and Facebook:

Since HarmonyOS has not been released in the global market for phones, the company keeps on operating EMUI for related devices. EMUI 13 and 13.1 are the latest software but the company has not published a single teaser for any of these on its social media handles including Twitter and Facebook.

The EMUI account on Twitter and Facebook was last used in November 2022 and remained inactive since then. This is a major flaw and needs to be fixed.

Forum:

Another interesting fact is that Huawei has an online community forum, which has some active members. But most of them works as a promoter for new devices and offers. These aren’t active for sharing software-related news and so on. Even if it shares a roadmap, it comes very late, which is a kind of a bummer.

Why it’s important:

Currently, Huawei smartphone owner has no official way to get collective information about software updates. Therefore, returning back these social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter will help them to stay connected about the latest EMUI developments.

These changes will not only provide better information but also cut doubts among consumers and provide them with a better and more satisfying user experience.

Eventually, the goal to revive Huawei EMUI could be completed.
