HarmonyOS NEXT-based WeChat app is open for public testing and has a set of new features including a seamless chat transfer tool. Huawei devices running on the latest software beta build can now experience these changes and app capabilities.

Weibo tipster @AdakFenglangjuxu mentioned that Huawei device users who upgraded to HarmonyOS NEXT can use the WeChat seamless chat transfer tool.

From the name, the feature will efficiently transfer all the chat records of WeChat to the new software system, without losing any details or other data of the app. Ensure that you are using the WeChat HarmonyOS NEXT application version.

The feature seems quite effective. Often users concern about the device data and chats while upgrading their device to a new OS. Doing so leads to conversation loss and requires multiple processes to transfer the chat records locally.

Although WeChat HarmonyOS NEXT app has resolved this problem with a seamless chat transfer tool. Note this feature will only support Huawei devices upgraded to the HarmonyOS NEXT beta version. Others have to wait for subsequent builds.

The tipster further reveals that HarmonyOS NEXT has great changes for the Control Center. It may also bring an iOS-like live map to users for easy navigation.

HarmonyOS NEXT could further adopt a one-tap lock screen access capability and some more effective changes. A recent feature of the new OS is app cloning which can split the original app into 5 clones so that users can effectively run the application.

More such features are on the way. Many native HarmonyOS apps are now open for public testing. The drawback is only HarmonyOS NEXT beta users can explore these applications. But Huawei may expand the software testing to more device owners in the coming weeks.

Honor X60 is ready to enter the launch lane and ahead of that, the Pro variant is appearing in leaks with speculations on a lightweight design. The device is suspected to adopt a beautiful and thin back panel with an impressive camera module.

Weibo tipster @FixedFocus says that the Honor X60 Pro will feature a good, thin back panel design. It would be different from the predecessor which has a split on the camera bump. This time, the OEM could make the back cover look more aesthetic.

The tipster further says that the front side grip of the X60 Pro feels like the Honor 200 Pro. Perhaps, it might have thin edges, narrowest bezels, and slightly rounded corners. Although the front design may vary or could be similar to the X50 Pro.

Other key specs and internal configurations are unknown. However, the leak suggests that the Honor X60 Pro will bring a thin and lightweight design over its predecessors. The overall flatness of the phone is expected to be far better than any other model.

Honor X60 will go official this month. The device is also said to feature a distinct appearance over the previous-gen handset. But again, the exact look of the device is a mystery. Perhaps, the company will unveil the details a week before the launch.

The upcoming Honor X60 models are said to feature flagship-level specs and capabilities. These will likely use an efficient Snapdragon mid-range chipset and might cost similar to predecessors. However, an official confirmation awaits on this matter.

Honor X60 series may sport a dual-curved OLED screen with 1.5K resolution and high-end display solutions for a brighter and more vibrant viewing experience. It could also bring a huge rear camera system with improved imaging features to enhance the photography experience.

The wait is over and Huawei has launched the Mate XT Ultimate Design, unveiling the curtains from its super iconic specifications and price details. The device comes with extraordinary features that claim to offer a surprising experience at every point!

Being the world’s first triple-folding phone, Huawei has crafted the device with full dedication and determination. It’s “one machine with multiple functions”.

Let’s tour out Huawei Mate XT specifications and price details.

Top Features:

  • Vein-textured and thin design
  • tri-folding screens
  • Reliable Tiangong Hinge
  • Large 10.2-inch display
  • 10-speed variable aperture
  • Advanced-level AI features

Design

Huawei has used cutting-edge technologies to craft the world’s first triple-foldable phone. The phone comes in a star diamond outlook. It has a neat vein texture on the edges which was developed after 78 processes. The device has stacked 80 layers of fine steel to form a powerful body structure.

Mate XT Ultimate Design is wrapped in a genuine plain leather material that ensures a perfect touch to consumers’ hands. It is available in two colors: Ruihong (Red Gold) and Dark Black. Both shades reflect an appealing look throughout.

Display

Mate XT tri-fold equips three screens. The display possesses a 3K ultra-high-definition resolution. It integrates AI computing image quality to offer an extraordinary visual experience to consumers. These are multi-directional display panels.

With flexible materials, the company has increased the bending capacity of the screen by 25%. The inner display resists compression while the outer one holds tension.

The internal screen uses the largest UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) while the external display has non-Newtonian fluid to provide dual-resistance. Check the specs below:

  • Single Screen (2232 x 1008 pixels): 73.5 mm wide, 12.8 mm thick, 6.4-inch
  • Double Screen (2232 x 2048 pixels): 143.0 mm wide, 7.45 mm/4.75 mm thick, 7.9-inch
  • Three-screen (2232 x 3184 pixels): 219.0 mm wide, 3.6/3.6/4.75mm thick, 10.2-inch

Other features: OLED LTPO screen with 1.07 billion colors, a P3 wide color gamut, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a 240Hz maximum touch response.

Hinge

The Chinese tech giant introduced the Tiangong (heavenly sacred) hinge technology with the Mate XT tri-fold. It supports dual hinges that enable the internal as well as external bending of the foldable. The hinge is based on a rod structure that reduces the movable space to a significant extent and offers stability.

Another benefit is the slide roll structure for folding the device inward and outward. This mechanism lessens the arc arm’s rotation and ultimately reduces hinge thickness. Thus, the device appears in a slim and lightweight body structure.

Inputs reveal that the new hinge tech uses the first multi-drive adjuster that can adjust the curves. As a result, the opening and closing of the device is immensely smooth. It is made up of 1900 MPa ultra-strong rocket steel and remains durable.

Camera

Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design sports a triple-lens arrangement housed in an octagonal camera module. The framework consists of a 50MP main camera (f/1.4-4.0) + OIS), a 12MP ultra-wide lens (f/2.2), and a 12MP periscope camera sensor.

The rear camera section supports 5.5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom. On the front side, there is an 8MP selfie sensor with multiple shooting and video modes.

Internal Configuration:
