HyperOS 2.0 will not only bring better security features for Xiaomi devices but also incredible UI changes. One such change that has appeared in a new input is the HyperOS 2.0 unlock animation. It’s another beautiful add-on to the new software.

According to XiaomiTime, HyperOS 2.0 will likely bring a stunning unlock animation to Xiaomi devices. This change offers an amazing feel as soon as users unlock their handsets. Xiaomi also improved fluency aspects with the new transition.

The shared video shows that unlocking the device will pop up all the app icons and widgets (one by one but quickly) from the bottom screen to their original place, giving an attractive feel. The overall transition appears quite smooth and fast.

The animation has minimalistic visuals to offer a clean, clear, simple but classy look at the home screen while unlocking the device. It appears natural and claims to offer enhanced responsiveness without lagging at any point during unlocking.

Another interesting change is the real-time light effects. Simply put, the HyperOS 2.0 software upgrade may change the lighting scenarios of the animation based on the touch location or probably as per the external environment.

Users may further note pastel shades and gradient transitions in the new unlock animation that will glorify the user interface to a greater extent. It seems Xiaomi is all set to provide a more interactive UI experience with the HyperOS 2.0 update.

Note that the company hasn’t confirmed this feature so far. Although it may add this beautiful change to HyperOS 2.0 to enhance the overall user experience.

Xiaomi today officially confirmed that HyperOS is launching on October 26 alongside the new smartphone  – Xiaomi 14 series in China. Xiaomi wants to revamp and interconnect its entire device ecosystem with this new software.

Xiaomi wrote on Weibo “A new all-ecological intelligent world opens up from here. It is people-centered and creates a full ecology for people, cars, and homes. The operating system condenses Xiaomi’s 13 years of exploration and took 7 years to create HyperOS.”

HyperOS aims to create a fully connected ecosystem including smartphones, smart home devices, electronics, and car systems. According to Xiaomi, the research and development of HyperOS was officially launched in 2017, with a unified system framework to support all ecosystem devices and applications.

It is reported that HyperOS is based on the integration of the deeply evolved Android and the self-developed Vela system. The company has also written the underlying architecture and prepared a public base for the Internet of Everything for tens of billions of devices and tens of billions of connections in the future.

The features and old Xiaomi devices upgrade roadmap of HyperOS will also be announced on stage on October 26.

Earlier this week, Xiaomi announced HyperOS, its new operating system designed for all of its ecosystem, and a few days ago, a major leak revealed key aspects of its UI and other features. Let’s take a look at the details from the images.

    Control Panel:

The new HyperOS control panel is not much different from MIUI 14 in terms of appearance. However, there are two major changes made in the layout and additions. First is the inclusion of a media controller widget and second is a smart device management. However, more of the existing arrangements will be familiar to the MIUI users.

    Notifications Panel:

Another thing to note is that HyperOS will provide smarter notifications management than MIUI 14, such as a priority-based notifications system.

    Home Screen

The home screen layout is basically the same as MIUI except for the refinements in-app icons, which are now slightly curved than the past version.

    Xiaomi HyperOS leak

    Typography:

From what we can see in the screenshots, some apps have tweaked typography/fonts and this may be used for better visibility for the users.

    Themes:

However, this new HyperOS is probably most focused on customizations for themes and lock screens. The company has added three new theme styles that you can choose from:

    1. Magazine
    2. Classic
    3. Rhombus

Each of these has various styles of lock screen style and font arrangements on the screen. These also support different types of lock screens and wallpaper effects including wallpaper depth.

Another thing to note is that Xiaomi has focused on using new font and widget customizations for the lock screen. All of these are likely to gain attention from the users based on their offerings.

    Xiaomi HyperOS leak

    Launch:

These are just a few observations of what we can see from this screenshots leak of HyperOS but there’s more that Xiaomi may have to share when the software makes its official debut.

Xiaomi today started to prepare for the launch of the HyperOS operating system with the renaming process of its MIUI social media and community accounts.

According to the Xiaomi China community, the company has renamed its official MIUI announcement account to HyperOS (ThePaper OS in Chinese). This shows the start of all of the paperwork that Huawei is preparing for the upcoming launch alongside the Xiaomi 14 series.

However, the company is still operating its Weibo account as MIUI, and similarities have been found on the global account of MIUI on social media such as X (formerly Twitter). It is possible that Xiaomi may choose to rename them on a later occasion. However, there’s no confirmation available on this matter at the moment.

Xiaomi HyperOS is designed for all scenario use and was announced recently by Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun. You can read more about HyperOS in the article linked below.

A suspicious live image of Xiaomi 14 shows that the phone equips an ultra-narrow bezel flat screen, which may surpass the iPhone. This live image coming from Weibo matches the past revelation about Xiaomi 14 but there’s no official announcement on this from Xiaomi at the moment.

The image shows a smartphone with a full flat panel, as compared to the curved display on the Xiaomi 13 Pro. Interestingly, the new device comes with a composed structure on all corners and sides of the front. Also, the frame is flat, thus providing stability far superior to Xiaomi 14 predecessors.

The screen has a hole punch on the top middle of the screen to house a selfie camera, however, it seems slightly small in comparison to the live image shared by Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun on X, (formerly known as Twitter).

    Xiaomi 14 live image

There are two buttons on the right, which have a metal design for volume and power features. Also, the new user interface of the HyperOS, an upcoming Xiaomi operating system, is fully supporting the style and aesthetics of the device.

Earlier today, Xiaomi confirmed that the company will feature a new Leica Summilux lens for fine-tuned photography experience for consumers. You may remember Leica from its partnership with Huawei, which discontinued last year Leica then patched with Xiaomi, and Huawei introduced its own XMAGE camera imaging system.

Since it’s a new device, Xiaomi will pack its 14th flagship with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset for powerful performance. For now, there’s no specific launch date for this device but it could go online anytime this month. Still, this Xiaomi 14 live image seems real but we’ll wait for more details on this matter.
