According to XiaomiTime, the company is rolling out a HyperOS 2.0 beta which shows redesigned widgets for the Weather and Calendar app. The new additions are more dynamic than the previous versions and offer a mesmerizing look.

Weather Widget

Starting with the weather widget, the HyperOS 2.0 Weather widget adopts a new minimal yet elegant interface. The widget corners are more round and one can switch between a squarish or rectangular frame as per their preference.

The widget background appears more colorful and displays temperature, daily forecasts, and current conditions (based on the widget size). The visual changes according to the weather conditions for a more interactive and appealing view.

The Calendar widget offers smart suggestions such as event schedules, reminders for meetings, special occasions, and more. The best part is that the widget can integrate with other Xiaomi apps and provides a seamless experience.

Xiaomi will likely debut HyperOS 2.0 this month and the new OS may bring improved animations and network performance. A new leak suggests that the company will offer a seamless connection to its device owners with the newest software upgrade.

Weibo tipster @SmartPikachu says that HyperOS 2.0 will deliver enhanced animations and network performance. The company has not only worked on the UI segment but also improved the network functioning to offer the best software experience.

The leak specifies an “active intelligent network” for HyperOS 2.0. It could mean that the company will improve the interconnection between devices. Xiaomi may adopt AI algorithms this time to maintain a stable connection between multiple devices.

Active Intelligent network further refers to reliable and stronger cellular signals in devices. It could maintain a good signal despite bad weather or other issues. Things are uncertain but we can expect better network performance with HyperOS 2.0.

Other than network, the tipster hinted at the animation effects. HyperOS 2 will likely bring more upgraded animations than ever before. These might be smoother, faster, and more fluent than the previous software versions.

Xiaomi phone users often complained about the sluggish animations. They used to compare the software with ColorOS 15 and other Android skins. But this time, Xiaomi may resolve the animation and lagging problems with HyperOS 2.0.

A recent HyperOS 2.0 leak demonstrated a brand-new unlock animation. The new addition claims to offer real-time light effects, gradient transitions, and brighter colors on the screen. You can check the complete details of the new animation below.

Xiaomi is seemingly ready to raise the bar of security with HyperOS 2.0 – thanks to the “Enhanced Protection” feature. The respective tool recently sneaked into the real world and claims to offer the best security from privacy threats and malware.

HyperOS 2.0 Enhanced Protection is the company’s new measure towards protecting its devices from risky apps. Yes! We often download such apps to our devices that appear interesting but are dangerous. They leak data to third-party servers.

Even if we try to remain alert, it’s impossible to recognize which app is safe or a risk to our device. However, Xiaomi is bringing a solution to this issue in the form of an Enhanced Protection feature. It will shield your device from all possible risks.

Under this feature, the Xiaomi App Store will test the app’s security and risk level before installing it on your device. In simple words, only those apps can access your device that is being tested by the company’s official application store.

It will automatically restrict the downloading of any such app that seems a risk to the device’s security. Thus, the feature protects users’ data from bad applications or malware found in the App Store. It also prevents viruses or other issues that install on your phone automatically due to unverified apps or services.

HyperOS 2 Enhanced Protection

The feature was initially spotted by XiaomiTime. It follows a three-step review for every app before installing it on a user’s device. These processes are:

  • Four automatic detections
  • Professional Review
  • Protection standards regarding privacy and security

When enabled, the feature will test every app before downloading and automatically prohibit any risky or buggy application. Thus, users can install apps without worrying about their device or data security.

The feature will likely debut with the HyperOS 2.0 this month. The tech giant has yet to announce an official release date for unveiling the new software. Though we may get the details on this matter soon.

HyperOS 2.0 will not only bring better security features for Xiaomi devices but also incredible UI changes. One such change that has appeared in a new input is the HyperOS 2.0 unlock animation. It’s another beautiful add-on to the new software.

According to XiaomiTime, HyperOS 2.0 will likely bring a stunning unlock animation to Xiaomi devices. This change offers an amazing feel as soon as users unlock their handsets. Xiaomi also improved fluency aspects with the new transition.

The shared video shows that unlocking the device will pop up all the app icons and widgets (one by one but quickly) from the bottom screen to their original place, giving an attractive feel. The overall transition appears quite smooth and fast.

The animation has minimalistic visuals to offer a clean, clear, simple but classy look at the home screen while unlocking the device. It appears natural and claims to offer enhanced responsiveness without lagging at any point during unlocking.

Another interesting change is the real-time light effects. Simply put, the HyperOS 2.0 software upgrade may change the lighting scenarios of the animation based on the touch location or probably as per the external environment.

Users may further note pastel shades and gradient transitions in the new unlock animation that will glorify the user interface to a greater extent. It seems Xiaomi is all set to provide a more interactive UI experience with the HyperOS 2.0 update.

Note that the company hasn’t confirmed this feature so far. Although it may add this beautiful change to HyperOS 2.0 to enhance the overall user experience.

Xiaomi will unveil HyperOS 2.0 with several significant features and one of them could be a “hidden camera detection” tool. It would be a perfect security tool for users and ensure immense safety against certain cyber issues and risk factors.

According to the information, the Xiaomi Civi manager – Cici has been using the MIX Fold 4 foldable. While exploring the device, she noted the hidden camera detection feature in the HyperOS 2.0 security app and tried to test it.

Inputs further reveal that the feature relies on certain smart algorithms and WLAN services that help it detect camera signals in a particular area. As soon as the feature detects any signals emitted by the camera, it alerts the user about it.

Simply put, the feature will recognize any hidden cameras in the room via the WLAN signals. In an era, where technology is becoming both safe and dangerous for users, HyperOS 2.0 has a new tool that prevents security threats in unknown areas.

The new feature is quite similar to an online tool called “Ingram”. It is not clear whether Xiaomi will release the significant feature with HyperOS 2.0 for all devices or keep it confined to the top-end models. Though we may get details in future.

HyperOS 2.0 will not only enhance the performance or UI aspects of a device but also add better safety tools and powerful privacy control services.

There would be more such features in HyperOS 2.0 that will ultimately enhance the overall user experience. These features are currently under the hood. But the company may unveil them alongside the Xiaomi 15 series or in the coming days.

Xiaomi will unveil the HyperOS 2.0 operating system this year and it’s time to dive into the eligible devices that will experience this new upgrade. Here we are sharing a list of expected models that may receive this significant upgrade in the time ahead.

The Chinese tech giant hasn’t confirmed the launch of HyperOS 2.0. Hence, it’s unclear when the official software rollout will take place. Although we’ve reached some conclusions based on the last year’s software introduction and update distribution.

HyperOS 1.0 came into existence with the Xiaomi 14 series and debuted on 31st October. We are in the same month and the company will likely unveil its Xiaomi 15 series after the Chinese Golden Week running from October 1 to October 7, 2024.

At the same time, Xiaomi may also introduce HyperOS 2.0 for its devices. It could also share the upgrade plan revealing all the compatible models that will receive the ultimate software treatment with several new features and smart capabilities.

Android 14 or 15?

Xiaomi has been treating its Android skin differently from others. While many smartphone vendors run their customized OS on one Android version, Xiaomi uses two of them at the same time.
