A new video leak indicates that Samsung One UI 7.0 will bring smoother animations than ever. It seems the company has delayed the upcoming OS version for good. Users may find iPhone-like fluidity with the next One UI software upgrade.

X tipster @UniverseIce dropped a video showing smoother animations of the One UI 7.0. The clip is more likely a screen recording done on the Galaxy S25/Plus phone.

Note that the clip has been deleted from YouTube. But another tipster has managed to get it. Tap HERE to check the smoother animations of the new software build.

Although the interesting part of this clip is the fluid transitions. The overall motions like swipe gestures as well as the opening and closing of apps appeared faster and more stable. Users will probably have the best animation experience with One UI 7.

It doesn’t show any lag or glitches while opening/closing apps. Switching between apps is much easier and faster than ever. Just a simple touch and users will see quicker responses.

Some applications that were indulged in this animation testing are Gallery, Settings, Phone, and Camera. These appeared in redesigned icons. The Weather widget also gets a makeover with a thinner shape than the previous major upgrade.

It’s just the beginning and Samsung could make ever better changes with the stable version.

Samsung is adopting impressive UI changes with One UI 7.0 and app icons are no exception to this theory. A new leak suggests that the company has once again redesigned multiple app icons with one of the internal software testing versions.

X tipster @UniverseIce details a new One UI 7.0 internal testing build. He says that Samsung has revamped several app icons with the latest One UI 7.0 version.

The company has specifically made changes to the Gallery, Phone, Camera, Voice Recorder, Contacts, and Notes app icons. Samsung phone users will probably notice beautiful and appealing changes in the user interface with the One UI 7 upgrade.

Further input reveals that the new app icons are more reasonable and far better looking than ever before. It seems Samsung is now working as per users’ feedback.

Samsung is readying more modern and comprehensive app icons this time that can be soothing to the eyes. These improvements will ultimately boost the user interface and make it more attractive than the previous One UI software updates.

Revamps and adjustments are the part of software upgrade. As the testing proceeds, users may witness better and more efficient changes in the One UI 7.0.

A previous hands-on video revealed that Samsung is focusing on a cleaner and clutter-free interface. The new changes and enhancements will likely appear in the first One UI 7.0 beta, expectedly scheduled for later this year.

One UI 7.0 will go official next year alongside the Galaxy S25 series. Till then, the company will surely adopt more useful and attractive changes to provide the best software experience to its users.

Samsung is seemingly adopting some incredible UI changes for One UI 7.0 including the widgets and icons. A few inputs have revealed that the firm is busy improving the user interface segments for its devices with the next One UI software upgrade.

X tipster @UniverseIce recently noticed the creativity level of One UI 7.0 in one of its early builds. He says that the software is still in development. But new testing builds hint at positive improvements regarding the User Interface and stability.

The tipster further reveals that One UI 7.0 will bring redesigned widgets and many icons. For instance, the Samsung Gallery app will get a new app icon again.

Not only applications but the upcoming software update may also change the in-content tool and feature icons of the Gallery app. Apart from the Samsung Gallery, users could discover more new innovative app icons with the One UI 7.0 beta.

Speaking of the widgets, the tipster mentioned that One UI 7 will likely bring some incomparably rich widgets. These might deliver smarter tools and capabilities over the rival operating systems. But the details aren’t clear for the time being.

A report by ETNews also claims that Samsung is working on the stability and completeness of the One UI 7.0 user interface. The company continues to perform new internal tests that can improve the new software’s UI to a greater extent.

Samsung is putting efforts to make its upcoming One UI upgrade the best for its device users. This is probably a reason why the company is taking time to roll out the first beta update. How far the tech giant will extend this wait would be worth seeing.

Samsung phone users have locked their eyes on the One UI 7.0 arrival and in the meantime, the leaks are constantly implying better changes with the new upgrade. One effective enhancement in One UI 7.0 could be an all-new camera interface.

The South Korean tech giant is not only focusing on making its UI segment incredible but also easier to navigate. Despite an attractive interface, users often get stuck with the usage and navigation part of the One UI software updates.

But it seems the company is fixing this problem with the One UI 7.0. This could also be a reason why Samsung is taking time to release its new One UI beta update for developers and users. So without any delays, let’s take a look at new changes.

One UI 7.0 Camera Interface

The company is ready to give a bold revamp to the camera segment with the One UI 7.0 upgrade. The recent One UI 7.0 early build leaks suggest that the tech maker will adopt a more simple and easy-to-use camera interface with the new OS.

Looking into the details, shooting models like Photos, Videos, Portraits, and other labels now appear at the bottom of the screen. It is the perfect spot to switch between camera modes and other shooting tools without spending much time.

One UI 7 camera interface

Camera controls are now far better than the previous builds. One UI 7.0 has a new single tab as the replacement for Night Shot mode. The exact function of this button at the bottom of the camera interface is unclear. Though we may get details soon.

Other controls like Settings, Flash, Timer, Aspect Ratio, and Motion Photo can be found in the lower middle of the screen. These simple but significant changes will offer a clutter-free camera interface to users.

These changes even seem effective for those who prefer using the device in the one-handed mode. Such users can also opt for certain options from the top right corner of the camera layout. These changes could differ in the stable version. Hence, let’s wait more on this segment till the official rollout.

Samsung broke many hearts after delaying the One UI 7.0 till next year but here’s a piece of good news – One UI 7.0 public beta is coming soon. The company recently confirmed this information through one of its official community moderators.

A recent discussion on Samsung community confirmed that One UI 7.0 public beta will launch soon. Some users asked if the new software beta will only be available to developers. The query points out users’ curiosity to test the latest One UI OS.

Responding to the thread, a moderator said that One UI 7 testing will soon enter the public phase. The company hasn’t confirmed the beta schedule yet. Once done, the new software beta will go to the public. Hence, wait patiently.

It looks like Samsung is giving some final touch-ups to its new One UI version. The Android 15-based One UI is expected to bring better upgrades, smoother animations, and effective features. Thus, the delay in this case seems good.

Further details reveal that users will be notified via the Samsung Members app about the beta progress. Therefore, we suggest keeping the app up-to-date with the latest version. Also, ensure sufficient storage space in your Samsung smartphone.

During the SDC 2024, the company confirmed that One UI 7.0 beta will be open for developers by the end of this year. Though the moderator’s words reflect that One UI 7 beta will also be available for the public right after or alongside developers.

Last year, Samsung unveiled the Android 14-based One UI 6 in October. But this time, the launch has extended to the Galaxy S25 series release in 2025.

However, the moderator’s latest clarification has confirmed that Samsung phone users may soon get the chance to test the One UI 7.0 software and its features. While the time is still unclear, it might be around December this year.

Being the latest flagship in the Samsung gallery, the Galaxy S24 series will be the first to fetch the new One UI 7.0 beta program. Meanwhile, the tech giant will add more devices to the list as the beta will proceed to the next rounds.

Samsung One UI 7.0 will launch next year but a tipster managed to get the initial look of the new upgrade’s Quick Settings. Yes, a new leak presents the incredible look of the One UI 7.0 Control Panel and its design changes ahead of the stable release.

X tipster @UniverseIce has shared an alleged mockup of Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra that highlights the One UI 7.0 Quick Settings panel and it looks quite impressive.

Looking into the image, the Quick Settings UI shows a more clean, simple, and easy-to-navigate appearance. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth tabs are now bigger highlighting a huge pill-shaped structure. Both these tabs are placed at the top.

Below these functions, the Control Panel has a 4 x 2 layout which shows 8 quick setting toggles. Users may expand this bar up to 16 toggles. The next section exhibits the audio controller with some tools that let you change the music without opening the respective application.

Ahead, the Quick Settings has two rounded-square-like structures for the brightness and volume adjuster. One can directly opt for Eye comfort and Dark mode through the brightness adjuster. Meanwhile, the volume controller shows sound settings.

Finally, there are two more tabs, just like the ones at starting. These tabs reflect the Smart View and Device Control. There are some changes to the network and battery indicators at the top of the Quick Settings. Also, the overall appearance is quite blurry but highlights and solid background.

Samsung has disappointed its users by delaying the One UI 7.0 launch but to excite you a little, we have a hands-on video of the new software. Here is a slight but real glimpse of how the upcoming One UI version will appear on your Samsung phone.

The new One UI 7 hands-on video is from a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. The device is running an ‘in-development’ or early build of the upcoming software upgrade.

So without any delay, let’s jump into the hands-on shots.

The early One UI 7.0 live video shows some interesting changes in the Quick Settings, Notification Panel, App icons, recent section, and of course, the animation side.

Quick Settings and Notification Panel: Separate!

Galaxy S24 Ultra hands-on video shows a separate Notification Panel and Quick Settings. Starting with the Notification Panel, it has larger and more rounded pill-shaped bars showing the notifications. These pills have a down arrow to expand the alert with some in-app settings.

The page also highlights a new battery-level icon at the top and two tabs at the bottom: Settings (left) and Clear (right). One can access alert settings or clear them with a tap.

Quick Settings: This section appears more recognizable than before. Just like the Notification Panel, the Control Center has more rounded pills compared to the squarish-shape. It can cover the entire screen in one swipe to show additional settings.

Apps Drawer and Icons:

The search bar of the app drawer now appears at the bottom for easy access. It further has a three-line icon to enhance the search capability for apps and other services.

Icons: Samsung is seemingly giving a new makeover to app icons with One UI 7.0. All the system applications like Camera, Gallery, Phone, Settings, and more showed up in a new design, better than the previous software version.

Finder: The respective feature in the app drawer can now expand the keyboard by default. It also displays a pill that allows users to add the Finder on the Quick Settings. One can also select or prevent apps from appearing in the Finder.

Recent Apps Panel: The recent apps section now looks more like iOS. One UI 7 will offer a stack layout with significant transitions for the recent applications panel.

Galaxy Avatar

A new Galaxy Avatar tool has also sneaked from the Advanced Features section. It only reveals Avatar stickers and the Avatar Camera option. One can design new clothes for their avatars. It might be a new form of AR Emoji feature.

Regarding animation smoothness, the video shows slight lags while operating the device. That could be due to the early build of One UI 7. Perhaps, the tech giant may enhance the smoothness part by the time of the stable One UI 7 (Android 15) rollout.

Yes, the company will likely add more major improvements and features to the One UI 7 before its stable rollout next year.

Samsung delays the One UI 7 launch until next year. This news is a big shock and disappointment for Galaxy phone users. While many of us expected to see the new One UI software this month, the company delayed this offering for some more time.

2024 has brought us a lot of expectations from Samsung and One UI 7.0. But it seems this year has just extended the wait for a new software upgrade and not anything else.

During the SDC 2024 event, Samsung announced to release One UI 7.0 (Android 15) next year with the Galaxy S25 series. The exact launch time is unknown. But this will likely happen in January 2025 with a grand Unpacked Galaxy launch event.

That’s not it! Here’s another ‘let-down’ news. Samsung mentioned that the One UI 7.0 developer beta will launch by the end of this year. Again, the closed and public beta might take a wider shape by next year. We may get clear info in late 2024.

Samsung’s software section is expanding at a snail’s speed in 2024 compared to the past years. The company used to launch its major software beta version most probably in August, thereby gradually expanding it with closed and public testings.

The company is well-known for completing its software update rollouts faster than any other brand. But this year, things don’t seem usual. What are the reasons behind this sluggish speed? A focus shift towards hardware products, major improvements in software, or anything else? We can’t say it right now.

If we look at other smartphone makers like OnePlus, these have already given the Android 15-based software beta versions to their flagship devices. Meanwhile, the wait bar for Galaxy users for a new software offering continues to rise.

Samsung One UI 7 launch delays

Apart from the One UI 7 announcement, Samsung also mentioned new changes in the upcoming software version. The user experience this time, will be more simple, and impactful, and carry an emotive design to offer a seamless functioning in daily use.

Users will find significant changes in the home screen layout and other UI sections. AI features, an enhanced battery section, and more impressive customizations are also in the One UI 7.0 expected features list. Samsung delays the launch of One UI 7, but this wait could be worthwhile with amazing and useful software enhancements.

Samsung Gallery will likely get the blessing of new AI features with the One UI 7.0 operating system. The company is developing its next OS version in such a way that it can benefit smartphone users with a richer and more efficient software experience.

X tipster IceUniverse notes that One UI 7.0 will bring some new AI features to the Samsung Gallery app. These add-ons could be for the AI search tool. Perhaps the company wants to make searches more convenient for users with better capabilities.

AI Search refers to an efficient gallery tool that helps users find images more easily, using AI. It understands the context, thus providing quick results of your queries.

Samsung Gallery AI Search tool is already one step ahead of Google Photos. It gives access to the People tab and allows you to collect images with a person in groups accordingly. The app also organizes images based on shot types or locations. It seems One UI 7 will make this tool more significant in the time ahead.

The tipster didn’t mention the exact changes that the Samsung Gallery app will get with One UI 7. Though it’s clear that the upcoming software is full of surprises.

A comparative image by the tipster further hints that Samsung Gallery will provide a much better experience than other album applications. Users may also observe some optimizations to the existing features that will make the app more worthy.

Apart from applications, One UI 7.0 has some incredible offerings for the UI and other sections of smartphones. A revamped Notification Panel and Quick Settings, a vertical app drawer, and more are on the expected features list. Let’s see what Samsung will serve to its users with the One UI 7.0 software upgrade.

Samsung will reveal One UI 7 software at its annual developer conference with new capabilities but can it compete against HarmonyOS NEXT and iOS 18?

Samsung is the largest Android partner and sells most devices in each quarter. Despite this dominance, the South Korean tech firm is a latecomer in the software experience.

It made some changes in One UI 6 including a new quick settings panel and new controls. These are much appreciated by One UI users but that doesn’t reflect any solution for a core issue.

The software feels more rigid and animations are still not fluid enough to fully utilize the device’s hardware performance. The user interface has improved over time yet Samsung could do even better.

One UI 7 will be based on Android 15, the latest Android software version. There are new camera optimizations, better navigation capabilities, satellite connectivity support, and more.

Aside from these, what do the competitors have to offer?

iOS 18

Apple has recently refreshed its iOS operating system for iPhones. It has drastically changed the software UI, improved personalization, and optimized animation effects throughout the system.

For example, the two new popular sections in this new OS are the control center and home screen. Apple is now allowing users to customize the control center and add custom controls.

This feature is already available in Android devices but Apple took it to the next level with new customizations. You can resize control buttons based on the space and group them. iOS 18 users can also manage different control screens based on their categories for an improved experience.

Another addition is the app icons with colors based on a tint selection right on the screen without even going to the settings. These capabilities are far more accessible compared to Samsung or Android.

Coming to the performance, the app and animations open slightly faster and animations are optimized to feel surrealistic, except for the 60Hz devices.

HarmonyOS NEXT

Coming to the new player, HarmonyOS NEXT is a new operating system based on HarmonyOS. Huawei has been polishing this Android-influenced OS for the past four years.

The software has now achieved a native app ecosystem in the Chinese market. It is redesigned for maximum fluidity and physics-based controls.

In comparison to One UI 6, HarmonyOS (not HarmonyOS NEXT) performs far better in smoothness and app interactions. HarmonyOS NEXT has even better interactions with the native experience.

One UI 7 will be better?

Even though Samsung may not achieve superiority over these two software, it should at least come to the same level as its competitors because it will eventually benefit its customers. We’ll see what the company unveils at SDC event.
