Huawei has unveiled dynamic wearables this year alongside new color variants. Watch GT 5 series is the latest example and comes with the all-new TruSense system.

It is also the first to feature the HarmonyOS 5.0 software and smarter functionalities than its predecessors. These points helped the respective wearable models to grab consumers’ attention and support in the Chinese smartwatch market.

Huawei Mate 70/Pro back design has now been allegedly leaked, resembling the Mate 50 appearance. The devices will likely debut next month and ahead of that, several cover leaks and renderings of this lineup began surfing on social media channels.

Weibo tipster @DirectorShiGuan shared an image of the alleged Huawei Mate 70 and 70 Pro covers, revealing the back design. The interesting part of these phone cases is the camera layout, which is quite similar to the Mate 50 smartphone.

Both phone covers have a circular camera module with four lens openings. Although a slight difference is visible in the lens and flash arrangements in both frames.

Starting with the standard variant, the first cover has small gaps between the lens openings. The flash void appears above the lenses with two more holes. One of these could be the laser focus, enhancing photography in low light conditions.

Looking at the image, many netizens said that the Mate 60 paid tribute to the Mate 40, and the upcoming Mate 70 will likely resemble the Mate 50 smartphone.

The Pro variant, on the other hand, shows the same four lens openings but with a wider gap. Its LED flash is placed between the two bottom lenses.

The standard model’s phone case seems slightly smaller than the Pro one. It is in line with some previous revelations that claimed, the Mate 70 series may bring different screen sizes.

Huawei hasn’t confirmed these details yet. Based on early inputs, the design could be accurate to some extent. Things will get more clear with the official unveiling.

Mate 70 series will bring top-of-the-line features this year. Whether we talk about software or hardware capabilities. The device is likely to excel in every manner.

In terms of design, the Huawei Mate 70 series may not feature major changes. Although it would surely be better than the previous-gen models. Also, the RS Ultimate Design could be more stunning this time, with dynamic upgrades for the display.

WhatsApp is readying a new QR code feature for Channels. The company is releasing a new beta update for some Android testers which brings a useful QR code tool. This tool will ultimately help users access the Channels more easily and effectively.

Spotted in the Android beta 2.24.22.20 version, WhatsApp is rolling out a QR code feature for Channels. The update is available via the Google Play Beta Program.

The company has made several changes to the Channel section for better user interaction. For instance, a new shortcut to discover and follow useful channels, a channel creation option in the overflow menu at the top bar, and more.

Now WhatsApp is bringing a QR code feature to improve the channel part to a significant extent. Some beta testers noted a new QR code section in the Channels setting. This tool enables channel owners to share the code with others and increase the number of participants.

Instead of sharing a link, channel owners can now simply show or send the QR Code of their channel. Others interested in joining the channel can scan this code via their phones. It’s a quick and easy step to access channels for events, meetups, and more.

The feature is currently in the testing phase. Although it may soon reach more WhatsApp users in the time ahead. Ensure to keep the app up-to-date with the latest versions.

Huawei Mate 70 series is coming and it will likely debut by mid-November. Yes, we’ve got an expected launch date for the flagship smartphone series. The company may officially unveil its new Mate flagship in the second week of next month.

According to the DigiTimesAsia, the Huawei Mate 70 series could debut in mid-November. The expected launch date for the flagship may fall on Singles’ Day 2024.

China is busy celebrating the Double Eleven sale fest. Several e-commerce channels organize this festival on the occasion of “Singles’ Day” which is on November 11 this year. The report hints that Huawei could launch its new Mate lineup on the same day.

Last year, Huawei unveiled the Mate 60 series on August 23 with a discrete launch. The same time and treatment were expected this year for the next Mate models.

However, the hardware and software optimizations of the Huawei Mate 70 series led to a delay in launch. While users expected to witness the flagship lineup in September 2024 clashing with the iPhone 16, it shifted to mid-November.

But the wait is seemingly about to end. Many Chinese tech giants are ready to showcase their new premium smartphones in the market and Huawei will probably join this race by November 11, 12 (Tuesday) or in the same week with Mate 70 series.

The report further says that the Mate 70 models have already entered mass production. Judging from last year’s promotion strategy, the company may directly unveil its new Mate handsets on Singles’ Day this year. But an official confirmation awaits on this matter.

This time, Mate 70 probably won’t trouble customers with its tight supply problems. Early inputs revealed that Huawei has prepared enough stock to meet the market demands without fail. The overall unit capacity is 50% more than the Mate 60 series.

Huawei Mate 70 series will bring major internal upgrades and some minor changes to the appearance. The devices may use the next-gen basalt body architecture, Kunlun Glass, and camera framework with better drop and wear-resistant properties.

Display and imaging capabilities will also fetch new upgrades to deliver the best viewing and photography experience. HarmonyOS NEXT and the rumored 5nm Kirin chip are also on the list to boost the performance of the new models.

Let’s see what else we will find with the new Mate 70 smartphones.

Huawei Nova 12 Pro may only be available at online shopping stores after the Nova 13 series launch. The company could remove the previous-gen handsets to promote the upcoming high-end lineup and increase sales in the smartphone market.

UncleKanshan notes that the Huawei Nova 13 series launch may affect its predecessors to some extent. The Nova 12 Ultra and Lite models could continue to sell in online and offline stores. However, that won’t be the case with the Pro variants.

The tipster says that Huawei will likely remove the Nova 12 Pro from offline shelves and make it available only in online stores. It won’t be discontinued completely but will be present partially in the Chinese smartphone market.

Consumers would still be able to purchase the respective model, but only from the VMall and other online shopping channels. Any such news for the standard Nova 12 is currently missing. We may get accurate details after the Nova 13 series launch.

Huawei often removes its previous-gen devices from the shopping stores for the new ones. The company adopted the same strategy during the Pura 70 launch. It removed the P60 series from the VMall just a few weeks after the Pura 70 release.

Earlier it seemed a software glitch. But the situation is still the same. P60 and Nova 12 series are demanding handsets in the market. Thus, Huawei might opt for this strategy to catch the consumers’ attention over new products than previous ones.

Huawei will unveil Nova 13 series smartphones on October 22. The devices are already open for pre-order activity. Consumers can visit the VMall and pay a 100 yuan deposit to reserve the device (standard or Pro) ahead of its official unveiling.

Nova 13 Pro is coming in a new avatar. The standard variant shows a similar design to the Nova 12. However this time, the company has enhanced the Pro model’s design. You can check the differences between Nova 13 and 13 Pro HERE.

Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ will likely get a new 256GB storage variant. The top-end model has only two storage options: 512GB and 1TB. But it looks like the Chinese tech giant will soon add a new choice in this section to meet consumers’ requirements.

Weibo tipster @UncleKanshan notes that Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ will soon get the 16GB + 256GB storage variant. Inputs reveal that the device already has this version. Mate 60 Pro+ 16GB + 256GB variant is available on the online JD.com stores.

However, it is absent from the official or other online shopping channels. The OEM may soon release an official statement on this matter. The leak also hints that the new smartphone storage option would launch in the offline consumer market in future.

The information notes that the Mate 60 Pro+ 256GB storage variant costs 6799 yuan ($960.65). It is less than the 512GB version (7299 yuan) and is expected to focus on offline sales rather than being only available at online shopping channels.

Apart from the storage space, the rest of the parameters will be the same as other Mate 60 Pro+ siblings. Let’s wait for the official announcement on this subject.

Huawei is developing a new Kirin 9 series chip for its devices, which could adopt a “1+3+4” octa-core architecture. It will likely be built on a 7nm process. This time, the company has improved its chipset manufacturing for better CPU performance.

FixedFocus notes that the upcoming Huawei Kirin 9 series chip may have a “1+3+4” CPU architecture. It will use one self-developed large core, three medium cores, and 4 small cores. It could also use an improved 7nm Pro Plus chipset platform.

A self-developed large core implies better and higher performance. These cores can easily handle heavy tasks like gaming, video editing, and more. The medium and small cores maintain balance and ensure a reduction in power consumption.

7nm Pro Plus hints at a more enhanced chipset platform. Huawei has said to improve its existing 7nm technology rather than focusing on the new 5nm or 3nm ones. The 7nm Pro Plus refers to the company’s new improvements in chip making.

The leak also implies that the OEM may use 8, 6, and 4 channels as per the chipset yield. Here, channels refer to a separate path that enables the CPU to access memory. The number of channels in a processor helps it to interact with memory modules.

For instance, the Quad Channel has four channels to associate with the memory module. The “6-channel and 8-channel” mainly used for servers. A high number of channels also increases bandwidth and results in dynamic computing performance.

Some netizens predicted that Huawei may bring two new Kirin chips for its Mate 70 series. The standard Mate 70 model could use the new Kirin 9 chip. Meanwhile, the high-end variants will likely adopt a 5nm processor with upgraded performance.

The prediction might be accurate to some extent. Huawei has been long-rumored to develop new Kirin chipsets for its flagship products. It seems the processors are in the final development phase and could show up by the end of this year.

Other details about the new chipset such as its name, official parameters, and internal changes are still unknown. Although we will discover these inputs probably with the Mate 70 series launch, seemingly scheduled for November 2024.

Huawei might launch a brand-new notebook called “Hi MateBook” with HarmonyOS operating system soon. A new leak implies that the company could finally showcase an official glimpse of its first computer-dedicated software later this month.

The Chinese tech giant has many new products to unveil in October. The list counts the Nova 13 series, a MatePad 2024 tablet, and the Sound X4 speaker. Now a new input hints towards a dynamic notebook that could launch by the end of October.

UncleKanshan notes that Huawei has a new notebook in the pipeline called ‘Hi MateBook’. The device will likely launch later this month as a smart laptop.

After the first “GT” notebook, Huawei is likely aiming towards a new named – Hi MateBook. The company powers the Hi-tagged product under the WIKO brand. For instance, the Hi Enjoy series. It seems a PC device will also join this category soon.

Further details note that the new Huawei MateBook could debut with HarmonyOS PC. The input could be accurate to some extent as the company’s senior executive – Yu Chengdong said that the next-gen PCs will run on HarmonyOS instead of Windows.

Earlier, the same tipster reported that Huawei is working on a mysterious X project. The project is linked with Smart Selection PCs and may launch by October end. He added that the tech giant may unveil a HarmonyOS notebook in the next six months.

If the X project here is the Hi MateBook, there is a slight possibility that it will launch with HarmonyOS PC. Though an official confirmation still awaits.

It is worth noting that Huawei Consumer Business Chairman Yu Chengdong hasn’t mentioned the exact launch time of HarmonyOS PC software. He has only pointed out that the next-generation laptops won’t run on Windows but HarmonyOS software system.

The accuracy of the current leak is still unclear. But if true, Huawei may soon announce or tease these products on its official social media channels.

Two launch events in October?

UncleKanshan also shared that Huawei could hold two launch events this month. The first one will likely happen on October 15 and showcase the Nova 13 series, HarmonyOS NEXT system, and Watch Ultimate Green Edition. The second one could take place on October 22 debuting, MatePad 2024 and the smart laptops.

It would be worth seeing how the Chinese tech giant makes this month surprising for its consumers. Stay tuned.
