Huawei is seemingly preparing for more Kirin 8000 chip products after the MatePad 11.5 2024 release. A leak says the company may launch more devices, running on the Kirin 8000 processor this year. The products could be new phones and tablets.

FixedFocus revealed that Huawei still has many Kirin 8000 products in the pipeline. The processor could be used in new MatePad tablets and the upcoming Enjoy series. The company will probably unveil these devices by the end of this year.

On October 30, Huawei quietly unveiled the MatePad 11.5 2024 tablet. The company didn’t reveal the chipset info. However, an early leak suggested that the device uses Kirin 8000. It seems the OEM is planning more new products with the same chip.

The leak doesn’t specify any release time for these products. Yet, Huawei will likely unveil a new tablet and another Enjoy series before wrapping up this year.

Huawei hasn’t confirmed the news yet. Hence, let’s take this input with a grain of salt and wait for the official statements on this matter.

Kirin 8000 debuted with the Nova 12 Pro handset in December last year. It is an octa-core chipset that is inferior to Kirin 9000SL but promises better performance than the previous-generation Kirin 8 processors, for the mid-range lineup.

The chipset contains a 4+3+1 CPU architecture. It has four 1.84GHz small cores, three 2.19GHz medium cores, and one 2.40GHz large core. The chip is paired with Maleoon 910 GPU and has been installed on Nova 13 series, Nova Flip, and Nova 12 Pro.

Huawei is currently focusing on the Mate 70 series. The flagship lineup will likely launch next month with several new features as well as a powerful Kirin chip.

The device will further carry upgraded imaging features, improved and faster touch responses, and new satellite capabilities to enhance the user experience.

Huawei Nova 13 Pro comes with a robust camera setup but in case you have missed the “best expression” shots then AI has got your back. Today, we’re up to understand the all-new smart photo editing feature called “AI Best Expression.”

The company has introduced a new picture editing tool with Huawei Nova 13 Pro – AI Best Expression. As the name suggests, the feature helps you get your best expressions even in the “already clicked” pictures. It’s the last-minute savior feature.

How does it work?

AI Best Expression works on advanced imaging algorithms and AI tech. It identifies an individual’s best expressions from their past pictures like a selfie or a groupfie.

Hereafter, it compares all the selected expressions and shows a few options on the screen to choose from. One can select and improve their expression accordingly.

The picture here shows clearly how the new photo editing feature works. All you have to do is, select the AI Best Expression tool to edit the picture. It will automatically identify the faces that need changes or improvements for the best results.

Next, it will display some expression-full-face options. You can choose any of the three looks as per your choice. Once done, save the picture with the changes made.

How to use the AI Best Expression tool?

AI Best Expression tool is currently exclusive to Huawei Nova 13 Pro. The company hasn’t mentioned if it will bring the same tool to other models in the future or not. Although Nova 13 Pro users can enjoy this benefit to the fullest.

To access this feature, go to the Gallery app. Select an image you want to change the expressions for. Click on the Edit button on the toolbar. Tap on the AI Best Expression feature and select any of the options that pop up above the picture.

Save the changes and the picture. And it’s done. Your “best expression” image is ready. It’s the perfect tool when your group pic isn’t looking better due to a wrong expression. Just open your Nova 13 Pro and give some touch-ups with the new AI tool.

Huawei has added 8 more devices to the OpenHarmony 5.0 compatibility list. These models have participated in the HarmonyOS NEXT closed and public beta programs. Perhaps the company wants them to be compatible with the latest OS version.

A few weeks back Huawei added four models to the OpenHarmony 5.0 list. These were Mate 60, Mate 60 Pro, Mate X5, and MatePad Pro 13.2. Now the tech giant has added 8 more Huawei devices to the OpenHarmony 5.0 compatibility section.

Pura 70 series, Pocket 2, and more models have passed the OpenHarmony 5.0 compatibility test. This qualification implies that these models will run effectively with HarmonyOS NEXT without resulting in performance or stability issues.

You can check the complete device list below.
  • Pura 70
  • Pura 70 Satellite SMS Edition
  • Pura 70 Pro
  • Pura 70 Ultra
  • Pocket 2
  • MatePad Pro 11 2024
  • Nova 12 Ultra
  • Nova 12 Ultra Star Edition

The 5.0 is the latest release version of the OpenHarmony operating system. It contains new features for ArkUI, useful changes for file management, app framework, graphics, images, and Windows. It also accompanies some fixes for the Web module.

OpenHarmony is the foundation for native apps in HarmonyOS NEXT. The company’s self-developed OS uses a custom unified system built on OpenHarmony.

Hence, it is important to check if a Huawei smartphone or tablet is compatible with OpenHarmony to run smoothly on the HarmonyOS NEXT stable versions.

Such compatibility tests also verify if a device can remain stable and work efficiently with multiple app interfaces, heavy tasks, and other complex scenarios.

OpenHarmony compatibility points out that the device is a perfect product for HarmonyOS. The company currently has 12 OpenHarmony-supported models. It may soon add more devices to the list as the HarmonyOS NEXT beta program proceeds.
