A new Huawei Hi Enjoy smartphone has recently appeared on the 3C site with 40W charging. The device is currently in the developing phase and hasn’t confirmed its name yet. However, a new leak says that it could launch later this month.

Weibo tipster @UncleKanshan notes that a new Huawei Hi Enjoy series phone has recently received the 3C certification with 40W charging. It falls under the WIKO Devices brand and has the model number JEY-AN00.

The tipster reveals that the device’s codename is Jerry. While the launch time is unclear, the leak hints that the new Hi Enjoy smartphone could release this month.

Following the new input, a few netizens predicted that this might be the Hi Enjoy 70 Plus phone. WIKO launched the standard model of this series featuring a Dimensity 700 chip two months back. The company may now reveal its Plus variant.

Other details of the device are currently unknown. But we may find them in the coming days.

WIKO has launched Hi Enjoy 70 and 70 Pro handsets, inspired by Huawei models. These devices install the Dimensity 700 chip and come with new features.

The standing WIKO Hi Enjoy 70 model is available in three colors: Ice Blue, Snow White, and Gold black. It sports a 6.75-inch LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The phone also supports AOD glance.

Unlike the upcoming phone, the standard Hi Enjoy 70 supports a 10W charging capability for the 5000mAh battery. It has a single rear camera setup at the rear end worth 13MP and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfie and video calling purposes.

The device supports HarmonyOS features like fraud prevention on calls, earthquake early warning alerts, and more. Perhaps the new phone will also bring more enhanced features over the standard and Pro variants.

Honor CEO – Zhao Ming has revealed the front design of the Magic 7 smartphone before its launch. The executive also shared some key features of the device. He claims that new additions to the device will ultimately boost the user experience.

Zhao Ming and the Chairman of 360 Group, Zhou Hongyi recently attended a live broadcast event. During the interview, the CEO showcased the Honor Magic 7, mainly its front design. He also operated the device to show its major features.

Front Design

Magic 7 phone shows curvy corners on the front side. It has thinner bezels around the screen and exhibits a clean look. The sides of the handset reflect a slight curve all around. Perhaps, the new phone may continue to feature the quad-curved outlook.

Another segment is the pill-shaped design. Honor Magic 7 will also bring the same pill cutout as its predecessors. The design may adopt a selfie lens and a 3D face recognition system.

Back Design

The executive completely covered the back design with a rugged phone case to hide the camera module. Although two lens openings (in a diagonal arrangement) and an LED Flash are visible through the cover. Another strip opening hints at laser focus.

Since the back design is covered with the case, the accurate details are unknown. But the OEM may reveal the entire design with new teasers in the upcoming days.

Apart from the phone, the CEO also described how its smart voice assistant has become even smarter. It can perform various tasks with just a single statement.

Zhao demonstrated the order takeout feature on the Magic 7 smartphone. He said “Order three cups of American coffee” and the device immediately searched for the item and completed the order within minutes. Notably, one has to submit the order and complete the payment without worrying about any other task.

More such features are on the way and we may witness them with the official unveiling of the Honor Magic 6 series on October 30.

Huawei could unveil the Mate 70 series next month and two of these models will bring a major change in appearance compared to their predecessors.

Weibo tipster Pikachu said two new Mate 70 phones will equip slightly curved large screens with 1.5k resolution. The Mate 60 and Mate 60 Pro released last year feature 6.69-inch and 6.82-inch screens respectively.

These two come with 2688 x 1216 pixels and 2720 x 1260 pixels resolution respectively. Other technologies in the display include a 1-120 Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, OLED panel, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and 300Hz touch sampling rate.

These new models will equip a right-angle middle frame design, which will be a major shift in Huawei’s design strategy for the Mate series.

This design refers to the smartphone’s edge where the front and the back panels meet. Instead of matching the curved back and front panel edges, these frame edges form a 90-degree angle. Simply put, this angle shows a more flat frame than previous flagships.

Since the Mate 10 lineup, the middle frame of Mate devices has turned rounder and seamless supporting the display curve. Mate 30 Pro is the company’s largest curved-edge display smartphone ever built.

However, the trend started to change with the Mate 50 Pro lineup, stepping away from waterfall screens. Instead, Huawei has utilized the screen ratio and made it look less curved on all sides. This new design language has provided the device with a clean look and stability improvements.

Mate 60 series took this strategy to a new level and shrank the curved edges to the lowest on all four sides. However, the frame is somewhat curved to support the rear panel. Furthermore, the body is slightly wide, which may not be comfortable for some users.

Installing a right-angle frame will help to improve the grip and reduce the bezels around the screen, which is widely visible from the front.

Still, there’s confirmation about the device’s identity but these could be Mate 70 and Mate 70 Pro.

Huawei Nova 13 series will launch next month and now we have some input about the standard model including its camera and color specifications.

Tipster FixedFocus said the standard Huawei Nova 13 will equip a single 60 MP front-facing camera to take selfies. On the other hand, The rear side of the device will carry a 50MP camera system.

These specs are identical to the Nova 12 smartphone, which has a dual rear camera setup including a 50MP wide camera with f/1.9 aperture, RYYB color filter array, and an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera. The front side has a 60MP ultra wide-angle camera with f/2.4 aperture.

It’s obvious the company may not boast any major upgrade to the standard model. Instead, it could change the device’s outlook and make it even more stylish than its predecessor.

Huawei Nova 12 featured a 6.7-inch OLED flat screen with 120Hz refresh rate and display turbo technology. The screen also has an AI HDR image with high dynamic range as well as high pixel resolution. To be mentioned, the screen has lower display bezels all around to provide a high-quality viewing experience.

The standard model packs a 4600mAh battery with 100W in-box charger. It could be continued with this year’s Nova 13 standard device.

Colors

The tipster also suggests that this year’s standard Nova will have four colors – black green purple and white. While the Nova 12 has Blue, Black, and white with matching background textures.

Huawei Nova 13 series

The lineup is expected to cover four models including a Nova 13 Vitality Edition, Nova 13, Nova 13 Pro, and Nova 13 Ultra. The top-end variants will upgrade the satellite connectivity and provide better performance with the new Kirin chipset.

The imaging system will also improve compared to the previous model. Reports suggest that the Huawei Nova 13 series could launch in October.

A Huawei smartphone has been leaked in a live image and the camera side suggests, it might belong to the upcoming Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design.

The source of the image is unknown but it appears to be a Huawei device for certain. Meanwhile, there are some elements in the photograph that we can explore.

The phone is covered with a protective case but the camera opening is octagonal. Over the past years, Huawei has been using this camera outlook to achieve distinctiveness for Mate RS models. On the other hand, standard and Pro models use round design.

Coming to the camera count, the image shows at least five openings and additional sensors. Such camera count also doesn’t belong to the regular or Pro model.

I can confirm that both, Huawei Mate 50 RS or 60 RS doesn’t have such a camera system or any previous RS family models except the Mate 40 RS Porsche Design.

The phone introduced five rear lenses including a wide camera, an ultra wide-angle camera, a telephoto camera, a periscope telephoto camera, and a 3D depth lens.

However, Huawei Mate 50 RS and 60RS didn’t follow this five-camera strategy.

Huawei Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design Live Image Leak

Alleged Live Image for Huawei Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design (Image Source – Gsmarena)

There’s more, the right side of the phone’s frame has a power button and volume adjustment keys. The screen is widely curved, which is a bit suspicious.

Previous reports speculate that Huawei will upgrade the Mate 70 RS screen and increase its size. Mate 60 RS display measures 6.82 inches and an upgrade could take it to 6.9 for this new device.

Furthermore, the 60 RS featured a quad curve display similar to the Mate 60 Pro. It’s uncertain, whether Huawei will switch to more curved edges than the Mate 70 Pro.

The top of the phone has three openings on the side, the wide one is for speakers and the two others are infrared sensors and a secondary microphone.

Huawei Mate RS phones are designed with premium materials and this year’s Mate 70 RS won’t be an exception to this tradition.

With all these facts, the live image of the Huawei Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design remains inconclusive. However, we’ll have to wait until a clear picture emerges.

The next three months will be packed with new Huawei smart devices launch events including the Nova 13 series, Mate 70 lineup, and Mate X6 dual foldable.

On September 10, Huawei unveiled a tri-fold Mate XT Ultimate Design smartphone, followed by new smartwatches for global customers on September 19. Then, an Autumn event is also set for Chinese customers on September 24.

Tipster DigitalChatStation has shared a roadmap of the alleged launch timeline for these upcoming devices starting with Nova 13.

It is said that the Huawei Nova 13 series will be released in October. Last year, Huawei revealed the Nova 12 lineup in December and it was the first Nova smartphone featuring a new Kirin chipset. Previous Nova devices only used Snapdragon chipset (after the US ban).

The lineup has three devices – Nova 12, 12 Pro, and 12 Ultra. These three phones come with a 60MP front-facing and a 50MP rear camera system.

The company is likely to bring similar models this year with the Nova 13, Nova 13 Pro, and Nova 13 Ultra. These will offer slightly improved specifications and a new design scheme.

Mate 70 and Mate X6

Huawei is saving its flagship Mate 70 series for later this year and it could be unveiled in November alongside Mate X6.

In August 2023, Huawei released Mate 60 and 60 Pro through a Pioneer program. Allowing customers to buy this new device without organizing a video conference. This was the first lineup in four years to feature a new Kirin chipset.

Previous reports suggest that Huawei has new plans for the Mate 70 series and it will bring a couple of new technologies to reflect the hardware and software side of the devices.

On the other hand, Huawei Mate X6 will equip a dual-fold experience for those who want to upgrade from the Mate X5 released last year.

For now, Huawei has not officially announced the Nova 13 launch in October of the later flagship devices. However, we’ll keep you posted with new revelations on this matter.

Huawei is taking small steps in the Kirin chip field, but these moves may strengthen the Chinese smartphone industry in the future. With a new processor, the tech giant could unlock new and huge achievements for its smartphone business.

The story of Kirin’s rebirth is quite famous among Chinese consumers. It started when HiSilicon – Huawei’s semiconductor subsidiary used to make Kirin chips using third-party equipment. These machines usually belonged to U.S. suppliers like TSMC.

Everything was fine until the U.S. sanctions banged Huawei and accused it of being a major security threat to foreign nations. Under the Trump era, this ban restricted Huawei and other Chinese firms from selling or purchasing any U.S.-based tech.

These challenges severely affected Kirin chip production. Huawei was unable to develop more power-efficient chips due to a lack of effective chipmaking tools.

Support from Qualcomm

As a result, the OEM limited the Kirin chip supply and said that it may no longer develop new chips following the U.S. sanction. Hereafter, the tech giant started taking help from chipmakers like Qualcomm and Intel for its smartphones and laptops.

Being a blacklisted company, Qualcomm wasn’t allowed to ship highly-efficient processors to China. Thus, the tech giant had to settle with good but less effective chipsets to maintain its position in the Chinese and global smartphone market.

Huawei Kirin smartphone industry

Over time, Huawei acknowledged that the absence of Kirin chips slowed down its smartphone business. The company dropped to the lowest in the consumer market for most of its smart products including phones, tablets, notebooks, and more.

Turning Point…

After fighting for three and a half years, Huawei reignited the Kirin chip with the Mate 60 series. The company launched its flagship product last year (August 2023), which resulted in a high-fy sales with long queues in front of every Huawei offline store.

Mate 60 Pro brought instant progress in Huawei’s smartphone business. The premium phone equipped with a new Kirin 9000s 7nm chip not only breathed new life into the company’s conditions but also into the Chinese smartphone industry.

Huawei Mate 60 Pro

Huawei Mate 60 Pro (Image Credits: Huawei)

Inputs revealed that Huawei joined hands with SMIC – a Chinese chip foundry for its self-developed processors. The chipmaker used DUV and certain outdated equipment for making Kirin chips. After Mate 60, the company introduced several Kirin 9000 derivatives and other new chips like Kirin 9010 for Pura 70 Ultra.

During an interrogation, Qualcomm said that Huawei doesn’t require its chips anymore. It’s because the company has developed its own chip and plans to expand its production.

That implies the Chinese tech giant may also soon end its dependency on Intel for notebooks with its self-developed Kirin PC chip that has been in rumors for a long.

Huawei has further increased investment in the R&D field. The OEM has recently opened a new giant research and development center worth $1.4 billion in Shanghai to attract foreign scientists and talented youth to boost its chipset manufacturing.

Huawei R&D center launch 2023

Mate 70 series: 5nm or 7nm?

The company’s next stop is the Mate 70 flagship. Huawei is in rumors to unveil the premium lineup with a 5nm Kirin chipset. But things didn’t reach the confirmation page yet. Hence, it’s still unclear if Mate 70 will use a 5nm or 7nm process tech.

Although we can say that Huawei is working on a new Kirin processor which will be many times more efficient than its predecessors. It is also said to use upgraded AI capabilities with a significant reduction in power consumption for efficient performance.

Thus, the upcoming Kirin chipset with the Huawei Mate 70 flagship series may unlock a huge milestone for the Chinese smartphone industry.

Huawei is preparing to launch a triple-foldable device this year and a new leak suggests that the tri-fold has now entered the production lane. It seems the company will unveil its new folding phone creation ahead of the Mate 70 flagship lineup.

The company has been working on the world’s first tri-fold phone since last year. After several hustles and bustles, Huawei Consumer Business Group Chairman – Yu Chengdong recently confirmed that its triple-fold handset is coming soon.

Now a Weibo tipster added more inputs to this topic. DigitalChatStation says that Huawei has pushed its triple-foldable in the production phase. The overall progress is a few steps ahead of the standard foldable phone, probably the Mate X6 model.

It means that the Chinese OEM has finalized the tri-fold design and begun the trial production. The next phase could be mass production and may soon lead to launch.

With these details, it seems the company could introduce its first-ever tri-folding handset before other Mate products are released. Even though Huawei has not confirmed the launch time, we expect to see the device in September this year.

Further inputs say that thickness control is still an issue with the triple-foldable handset. The tipster says that the device’s width isn’t as good as the traditional folding phone. But the good news is that the phone has impressive technical strength.

Perhaps users may observe powerful performance while performing daily operations. One can look forward to many advanced features and significant capabilities as well.

Rest of the details are the same as the previous inputs. The device will sport a dual-hinge mechanism with inward + outward folding. It may equip a 10-inch OLED. At the same time, the dynamic foldable could be the most expensive device to date.

The tipster didn’t mention the price of the triple-foldable. Although a few netizens expected to see the cost range above 15000 yuan. But that’s just a speculation ahead of the official details. Let’s see when the company will announce the launch date for its new invention.

Huawei today has shared four color options for the upcoming Nova Flip foldable. The new clamshell’s promotion is in full swing and the company is constantly dropping new teasers on its Weibo account. It’s time to explore the latest one on this topic.

According to the pictures, the Huawei Nova Flip foldable will arrive in four bashing color schemes. These are New Green, Sakura Pink, Zero White, and Starry Black. The first three shades show a delicate look with a plain glossy appearance at the back.

However, the fourth one reveals a leather material embossed with a large “nova” logo all around the rear side. It is quite similar to the Nova 12 Ultra back panel outlook. Among these four shades, the Green will probably be the show’s highlight.

All four colors of Nova Flip have a silver rectangular housing at the back which contains the square cover screen and two lens placements along with an LED Flash.

These shades are different from those that appeared with Pocket 2. The company has adopted a simple yet elegant design for its first Nova vertical foldable. Overall, the phone’s look is quite amazing and can easily draw consumers’ attention to it.

The high-end Nova 12 models has two-way satellite SMS capability. We may find the same technology for the new flip handset with better and noteworthy improvements. The phone maker may also adopt the NearLink tech for the latest device to provide seamless connectivity.

Huawei Nova Flip may be priced higher than the Nova 12 series but cheaper than the Pocket 2 foldable. It could use a Kirin 9010E chip with downclocked performance cores. The processor will be inferior to the main 9010 SoC but superior to 9000SL.

A recent teaser further revealed that the device will feature a 50MP main camera. Meanwhile, users will find impressive AI tools and smarter capabilities with the new HarmonyOS software version. Other features will also appear in the limelight soon.
