Huawei is rolling out a major EMUI improvements update for the flagship P60 Pro and Mate 50 Pro smartphones. With the latest firmware, the tech giant has enhanced every key aspect of the device. It also brings a new security patch for the core system.

P60 Pro and Mate 50 Pro have received the EMUI 14.2 features. After the new add-ons, the company is now optimizing both devices with significant changes and fixes.

Starting with the software version, Huawei P60 Pro and Mate 50 Pro are receiving the new EMUI improvements update with the 14.2.0.146 build number. Users further have to download a software package of 449 MB to enjoy the newest additions.

The new update improves the display aspects of the device. It tweaks a few interfaces to make them more intuitive and accurate. Huawei has also optimized the system stability, bringing a more stable and responsive functioning to the devices.

Users will also find the July 2024 security patch that will shield the data and other important matters of the device from malicious attacks. It will also eliminate any issues in the handsets found in the last software build to offer a bug-free experience.

You can check the changelog below:

Huawei has rolled out the HarmonyOS NEXT developer beta 2 update with a small yet effective changelog. The firmware carries new features as well as bug fixes. The developers may get a more efficient and improved experience over the previous build.

Inputs reveal that the HamonyOS NEXT developer beta 2 is based on the first beta. Although it consists of significant changes, new enhancements, and useful tool kits.

The latest update builds upon the OpenHarmony 12 beta 2 API version. It is rolling out with the HarmonyOS NEXT 0.0.31 version and will soon reach all developers. It is open for Mate 60 series, Mate X5 series, and the MatePad Pro 13,2 tablets.

Now let’s explore the HarmonyOS NEXT Developer Beta 2 changelog.

The new addition in this update is effective gestures. HarmonyOS NEXT developer beta 2 will enable developers to add better motion control and intuitive gestures to apps. These add-ons will allow users to swipe or slide for quick functions.

Component management is another useful point in the changelog. It will give users even better control over most of the apps’ elements or features. The section will further have detailed settings regarding each component of the application.

Huawei has improved the ArkUI Development Framework. It is now much better and more powerful than the previous version. With the new ArkUI development structure, developers would be able to make more efficient, stable, and smoother apps.

2D graphics have become even more fluent and intuitive. Users will see new, creative, and excellent visual effects than before. With the latest tool, developers will be able to make the application pleasant and add innovative graphics to it.

The Chinese phone maker has optimized the TaskPool capability. This tiny element is responsible for multitasking purposes in an app. Hence, users may observe a new boost in the application’s multitasking performance in the future.

Huawei has also made the app services creative. Perhaps the building and other monuments will appear more catchy. The company has also made the map information simple and convenient for users. Other additions count new kits for better design, detailed weather info, and enhanced performance of wearable devices.

  • Enhanced the basic capabilities of ArkUI (Ark development framework)
  • Added gesture interception capabilities, enriched the lifecycle management capabilities of various components and provided more detailed settings for various components.
  • Enhanced graphics drawing capabilities for 2D graphics
  • Enhanced the task processing capability of TaskPool
  • Enhanced the building drawing capabilities of the map service and enriched the map information available.
  • Added three new kits: UI Design Kit, Weather Service Kit, and Wear Engine.

Huawei has paused the EMUI 14 beta rollout but for good reasons as the EMUI 14.2 is in the line and here we’ve brought you its changelog which is full of customizations. The firmware began approaching flagship devices and you will soon grab it.

EMUI 14.2 is available for the first batch of devices that have participated in the recent EMUI beta program. But the interesting point is that it is an unlimited rollout and even reaching those who were out of the beta pool, waiting for public testing.

Being a special rollout, Huawei is releasing EMUI 14.2 to both beta and non-beta users. The first difference you will notice in the latest firmware is the software size.

Users who have installed the first EMUI 14 beta will receive the 14.2 build with a small package say 500-600MB. Those upgrading from the EMUI 13.1 version will be required to download a 6.35GB downloadable pack to enjoy the latest features.

Features:

Another difference lies in the changelog. EMUI 14.2 isn’t much different from the EMUI 14 version, except for more customization and fun. It packs some amazing themes-related capabilities to enrich the interaction and user interface for users.

Huawei phone users on EMUI 14 beta will get a new security patch with a few system stability enhancements. Whereas, those with EMUI 13.1 as a baseline build will fetch a huge changelog with similar features to the EMUI 14 beta software.

The newest update now enables you to check the battery info of your wrist gadget right through your smartphone, with the help of the Huawei Assistant application.

Not only smartwatches but users can also have a quick view of the battery info for all connected devices like earbuds, eyewear, and other handsets. When you link four or fewer devices, it shows the info in a small widget on the notification panel.

Although when the device number exceeds 4, tapping on the battery info widget opens a large pop-up section, displaying all the devices with their current battery status. In this way, you get a clear knowledge about your device’s power backup on your phone.

Huawei Assistant 14.1.6.300 update is rolling out gradually to Huawei users. Though you can check the AppGallery to install the newest version immediately. Other than the battery info display, the changelog counts the following features and improvements:
