The Chairman of Huawei Automotive Solutions Business – Yu Chengdong said that ADS 3.0 is an advanced smart car technology. While most of its rivals are still using ADS 2.0-like techs, the company has achieved the next level of driving experience already.

Adding more details, Yu Chengdong stated that all Huawei-powered smart cars under the HIMA umbrella will get the ADS 3.0 upgrade starting tomorrow. The list counts AITO M5, M7, and M9 and their variants, STELATO S9, Luxeed S7, and their versions.

With this upgrade, smart cars will be able to drive anywhere in China with confidence. ADS 3.0 is the safest driving solution so far and delivers the best experience.

According to the details, the Chinese tech giant began the storage upgrade plan, especially for old models. With this program, Huawei phone users can upgrade their device’s storage from a small capacity to a large one at a 12% discount.

The storage upgrade program for old devices has a starting price of 342 yuan. Though the cost may vary depending on the model and storage upgrade option.

For instance, the Mate 50 (8GB + 128GB) can be upgraded to the 256GB storage variant at 492 yuan. Another factor is the motherboard should not be in a faulty state. Or else, it will cost 692 yuan. It’s still less than the original price (659 and 909 yuan).

Users should note that only models that aren’t being dismantled or repaired privately are compatible with this campaign. If the device has any defect, the storage upgrade plan will repair or upgrade the defective part and cost for it accordingly.

The program also offers a 512GB option for selected models. Users can upgrade the oldest devices like the Huawei P10 in this campaign and pick the best offer.

Inputs reveal that the review process of HarmonyOS NEXT second phase developer beta is completed. Developers and pioneer users who have received an SMS or email for passing the review process will soon obtain the latest software testing version.

Users can identify the message or email with the “approved review” title. If you haven’t received any such alert then wait patiently and apply in the next beta program.

Apart from the adaptation progress, Huawei said to soon begin the third phase of HarmonyOS NEXT developer beta recruitment. The company didn’t reveal the time at present. However, we expect to see the beta recruitment in the mid-August.

“In order to meet the upgrade demands of more users, we will start recruiting HarmonyOS NEXT beta version developers and pioneer users (third phase) in the near future! So, stay tuned!” – wrote Huawei.

Developers and Pioneer users can sign up for the current beta activity from June 21 to 28. The company will review the submitted applications from June 24 to July 09 and adjust the users depending on the log and nolog builds.

Note that developers whose apps are already present in the AppGallery will be prioritized in this activity. After the selection, Huawei will further notify developers as well as pioneer users via an official email or SMS.

Those participating in the developer beta version should take a backup of their data beforehand to avoid any loss. One can also roll back to the current version by visiting Settings > System > Developer Mode > System Rollback.
