Huawei Mate 70 series launch speculations are in full swing and a leak says the expected date could be November 20. Huawei hasn’t revealed any release time for the new devices yet. But some tipsters are constantly eyeing the company’s moves.

DirectorShiGuan states that the Huawei Mate 70 series may launch around November 20. It may come after the Double 11 sales event, which is currently live in China.

The tipster further adds that Huawei will also unveil the Mate X6 foldable phone at the same time. The company might not keep much gap between the Mate 70 and the new folding phone’s launch, this year.

The latest input is in line with the previous revelation. Huawei has already said to launch Mate 70 in fourth quarter. We may witness the new lineup next month.

Just like last year, Huawei may unveil the Mate 70 series under the Pioneer Program. In August 2023, Huawei surprised its consumers with the Mate 60 Pro. The secretive release was quite different from the usual grand events for flagship devices.

Such a unique unveiling without any promotion, led to the staggering sales of the Mate 60 series. Huawei again opted for the same strategy for the Pura 70 models and the results are well-known. The device shipments reached 6.5 million units.

It seems the Mate 70 series will not be an exception to this launching procedure. The new smartphones may join the Pioneer Program, enabling customers to purchase the retail device in advance. The exact details will be known in the coming days.

The tipster states that Mate 70 is much better than its predecessor. The tech giant has significantly improved the new series in almost every aspect.

Whether it’s camera, AI features, design, fingerprint sensor, screen, chip, or anything else. The new models will have better and cutting-edge techs over Mate 60.

For the camera system, the company is testing OmniVision OV50H (maybe for the standard), and an OV50K lens for the Pro or high-end variants.

Another major treatment will be HarmonyOS NEXT. Huawei Mate 70 will come with the HarmonyOS NEXT goodness out of the box. It may unlock more interesting features and capabilities, enhancing the overall user experience.

Huawei today launched the Nova 13 series smartphones with a unique interweaving design and fascinating features. The device brings some useful upgrades over its predecessors such as new camera capabilities, performance boost, and more.

So without any delays, let’s explore the key features and specs of the Huawei Nova 13 Series.

Design

Both models have an interwoven pattern on the back and come in four colors: Loden Green, Feather Sand Purple, Feather Sand White, and Starry Black.

Loden Green is the main color of the Nova 13 series. Huawei has used a new spatial grid glass for the back panel, crafted with micro-nano-level 3D lithography tech and micro-crystal feather yarn technology. It also has skin-friendly, stain-resistant, and scratch-resistant properties.

Standard Nova 13: The device reminds us of the Nova 12 but in a more good-looking avatar. It has the same big star ring lens in a pill-shaped frame with two openings below. One of them is the macro sensor while the other one is a flash.

Front Part: Standard Nova 12 has a single punch-hole design on the face and the thinnest bezels. It has a flat display with equal depth capability.

Nova 12 Pro: This is where the new look lies! Huawei has adopted a new camera module which is slightly extra elongated than its predecessors. Simply put, the pill-shaped camera bump is thinner and longer than before. Also, the lens arrangement has changed significantly, showing three lenses.

Front part: Unlike the standard variant, the Nova 13 Pro uses has a pill cutout on the top with two holes. The phone has two front-facing cameras for impressive portraits in one go.

Display

The standard Nova 13 comes with a 6.7-inch OLED flat screen. It has a resolution of 2412 x 1084 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, a 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 1.07 billion colors, and a brand-new lithium silicon aluminum deep double-strength display glass.

Nova 13 Pro, on the other hand, sports a 6.76-inch quad-curved micro OLED panel with a 2776 x 1224 pixels resolution and a 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The rest of the display properties are the same as the standard variant.

Camera

Huawei Nova 13 series launched with a combination of dual RYYB and dual OIS triple camera setup with multi-focal-length portrait capabilities. It has a 50MP primary shooter with ultra-optical zoom and anti-shake properties. The other two lenses are a 3x portrait telephoto lens and a 2cm macro ultra-wide-angle lens.

The front face holds a dual-camera system with a 60MP portrait tracking snapper and a 5x zoom portrait lens which has a 0.7-5x full-focus portrait functionality. It supports both front and rear multi-focus features.

Battery & Charging

Standard Nova 13 supports a 5000mAh cell whereas, the Pro model features a 4900mAh (rated) battery. Both models are capable of 100W fast charging and get power up by 50% within 9 minutes.

OnePlus is ready to open a new chapter in its software world – OxygenOS 15 on October 24. The company confirmed the launch date via its global community. Consumers can expect some eye-catching upgrades with the new version.

Following OPPO, OnePlus has now announced to launch Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 on October 24. The official teaser didn’t highlight much info about the upcoming OS. Yet, it hints that the new software will introduce dynamic AI features.

An official moderator of the OnePlus Community wrote:

“Get ready for OxygenOS 15! Discover the perfect fusion of Speed and AI.
Tune in for the live launch on October 24th, 2024, right here in the Community!”

Two main words that gather the spotlight on the OxygenOS 15 (Android 15) teaser are AI and Speed. It implies that the new OS version will be the fastest, smartest, and most user-friendly software upgrade for OnePlus smartphone users.

Expected Features

Inputs reveal that OnePlus has used cutting-edge algorithms and software techs to shape its new OS version. Meanwhile, AI capabilities will improve the animations and UI customizations, making them smoother and more fluent than ever.

Users may also discover new and better home screen layouts that will bring a delightful experience. Multi-tasking and security are other aspects that will probably offer enhanced features and services. iOS-like design may also show up with this OS.

OnePlus has focused on AI since the day 1 of this year. A few rumors said that the company could merge its new OS with Google Gemini. Doing so will bring advanced image editing features, virtual avatars, smart summaries, and more.

Overall functioning and gaming performance are expected to remain at peak with OxygenOS 15. The exact details of the new OS will likely unveil on October 24.

Huawei Mate 70 series is coming and it will likely debut by mid-November. Yes, we’ve got an expected launch date for the flagship smartphone series. The company may officially unveil its new Mate flagship in the second week of next month.

According to the DigiTimesAsia, the Huawei Mate 70 series could debut in mid-November. The expected launch date for the flagship may fall on Singles’ Day 2024.

China is busy celebrating the Double Eleven sale fest. Several e-commerce channels organize this festival on the occasion of “Singles’ Day” which is on November 11 this year. The report hints that Huawei could launch its new Mate lineup on the same day.

Last year, Huawei unveiled the Mate 60 series on August 23 with a discrete launch. The same time and treatment were expected this year for the next Mate models.

However, the hardware and software optimizations of the Huawei Mate 70 series led to a delay in launch. While users expected to witness the flagship lineup in September 2024 clashing with the iPhone 16, it shifted to mid-November.

But the wait is seemingly about to end. Many Chinese tech giants are ready to showcase their new premium smartphones in the market and Huawei will probably join this race by November 11, 12 (Tuesday) or in the same week with Mate 70 series.

The report further says that the Mate 70 models have already entered mass production. Judging from last year’s promotion strategy, the company may directly unveil its new Mate handsets on Singles’ Day this year. But an official confirmation awaits on this matter.

This time, Mate 70 probably won’t trouble customers with its tight supply problems. Early inputs revealed that Huawei has prepared enough stock to meet the market demands without fail. The overall unit capacity is 50% more than the Mate 60 series.

Huawei Mate 70 series will bring major internal upgrades and some minor changes to the appearance. The devices may use the next-gen basalt body architecture, Kunlun Glass, and camera framework with better drop and wear-resistant properties.

Display and imaging capabilities will also fetch new upgrades to deliver the best viewing and photography experience. HarmonyOS NEXT and the rumored 5nm Kirin chip are also on the list to boost the performance of the new models.

Let’s see what else we will find with the new Mate 70 smartphones.

Huawei Mate 70 series will soon launch in China but this time, the flagship lineup may also enter the global stage. Ahead of its official release, the new Mate models have sparked speculations about the debut in the overseas market by next year.

The Chinese OEM always unveiled its Mate smartphones in China and the global market. But the trend unexpectedly changed last year with the Mate 60 series.

The reasons behind the unavailability of Huawei Mate 60 models in global markets are still unclear. However, the return of Kirin 5G is suspected as a major cause.

Other factors include supply chain issues as Huawei was unable to produce enough units and extended orders wait by three months. The U.S. ban is also on the list.

After a year, it seems Huawei is once again ready to bring its Mate lineup to the overseas market. How we can say that? Well, some rumors and leaks have drawn our attention to this perspective. Let’s see how things could turn out to be possible.

Mate 70: compatible with HarmonyOS NEXT & Android?

Yes, several tipsters are claiming that the Mate 70 series will feature a dual-framework software design. This rumor hints that the upcoming models will likely support two software variants: Single Framework and Double Framework.

The single framework refers to the self-developed HarmonyOS NEXT while the double reflects support for Android apps. Simply put, Huawei is tipped to test two versions for its Mate 70 smartphones: HarmonyOS NEXT and Android app support.

A few tipsters also stated that the company is testing a new software framework probably for overseas consumers. Thus, Mate 70 global debut may happen.

Some other reasons:

HarmonyOS NEXT still has years to step into the Huawei global phones. A company’s official said to expand HarmonyOS worldwide in the form of its app ecosystem. But this too has some months to go official. Read the details HERE.

On the other hand, a Huawei spokesperson confirmed months ago that the tech giant will continue to use Android apps with the EMUI software.

And let’s not forget that Huawei has delayed the Mate 70 series launch due to software changes and optimizations. Judging from the rumors, the company might have been adapting its upcoming smartphone series to a dual software framework.

These points indicate that the Huawei Mate 70 series could debut in the global market by next year. But things will only get clear after the official unveiling of the flagship lineup.

Honor CEO – Zhao Ming has revealed the front design of the Magic 7 smartphone before its launch. The executive also shared some key features of the device. He claims that new additions to the device will ultimately boost the user experience.

Zhao Ming and the Chairman of 360 Group, Zhou Hongyi recently attended a live broadcast event. During the interview, the CEO showcased the Honor Magic 7, mainly its front design. He also operated the device to show its major features.

Front Design

Magic 7 phone shows curvy corners on the front side. It has thinner bezels around the screen and exhibits a clean look. The sides of the handset reflect a slight curve all around. Perhaps, the new phone may continue to feature the quad-curved outlook.

Another segment is the pill-shaped design. Honor Magic 7 will also bring the same pill cutout as its predecessors. The design may adopt a selfie lens and a 3D face recognition system.

Back Design

The executive completely covered the back design with a rugged phone case to hide the camera module. Although two lens openings (in a diagonal arrangement) and an LED Flash are visible through the cover. Another strip opening hints at laser focus.

Since the back design is covered with the case, the accurate details are unknown. But the OEM may reveal the entire design with new teasers in the upcoming days.

Huawei may unveil the Hi MateBook 14 notebook by the end of this month. The device has been in rumors since September and it could go official in the upcoming weeks. Apart from the Hi-tagged PC, there could be a new D 16 notebook model.

Weibo tipster @UncleKanshan revealed that Huawei could launch the Hi MateBook 14 PC later this month. It might be available in major stores by October 25th. Meanwhile, the company may release it officially in the last week of this month.

The leak implies that the new notebook will have a 14-inch screen. Due to the “Hi” term, it could be shelved under the WIKO brand in the future. But things aren’t very clear at the moment. Let’s wait for some more days to get exact details on this topic.

A netizen asked if the Hi MateBook will continue the adaptation to Intel and Windows or use HarmonyOS. In response, the tipster confirmed the former option.

Earlier, the Hi MateBook was expected to launch with HarmonyOS PC as the new smart selection product. However, several other inputs mentioned that Huawei’s new computer-dedicated software won’t be launched earlier than Q2 or Q3 2025.
