Canalys has released its analysis on the Q2 2024 global earphones market and Huawei ranked fifth in this ranking. The OEM shipped 3.7 million units in the second quarter of this year. Among all earbuds, the FreeClip is the most sought one.

The tech giant delivered 2.3 million earbuds last year, during the same period. With an increase in shipment figures, Huawei scored a total of 4.8% market share this time.

According to the research manager at Canalys – Cynthia Chen, Huawei has made this progress leap due to Lipstick 2 and FreeClip earbuds. She says the lipstick-designed earbuds have immensely attracted female consumers in the Chinese market.

“Huawei’s Lipstick 2, designed as a lipstick, features premium materials and fashionable attributes to appeal to female audiences.” – Cynthia Chen.

The other product that deserves this credit is FreeClip. Cynthia said that the open-back earbuds impressed customers a lot – thanks to their stylish and comfortable and stylish look. Brands like Shokz and Huawei own 10% + market share for open-back earbuds. It further opens doors to innovation and convenience for users.

The South Korean OEM has also slightly lowered (0.5%) than the previous quarter. Xiaomi is in third position with 5 million units and 6.5%. After Huawei, the company has the highest scores in annual progress with 42.5%. boAt appears in fourth place with 4.7 million units of sales and a 6.1% market share. It raised by 2.8% YoY.

The overall market has shipped 106 million units which resulted in a 10.6% YoY increase. This is the highest number of second-quarter shipments so far. TWS and wireless earphones reached 77 million and 15 million units respectively.
